1989

1989 was more than just another era in My Little Pony history. In 1989, the Topical Ponies were produced along with the Baby Drink'n Wet Ponies, the Glitter Sweetheart Sister Ponies, the Prom Queen Sweetheart Sister Ponies, and the Baby Sparkle Ponies.

Also, the Dream Beauties were produced, which was a series of different beauties. Shimmering Beauties, Rainbow Beauties, Showtime Beauties, Sweet Perfume Beauties, Trim'n Grow Beauties, and High Flying Beauties were all a part of the Dream Beauties collection.

The Rainbow Curl Ponies were also made during this year. The Rainbow Curl Ponies had rainbow colored hair. Each different streak of color was a curl. The pegasus Ringlet had rainbow colored wings. See the pictures below. Any collector should add these ponies to their collection.

Also, the Sweetsteps Ballerina Ponies were made in 1989. These ponies had moveable legs, thus allowing them to "dance". See the pictures below.
