| 1st Trimester 2nd Trimester 3rd Trimester Nursery April 23, 2003 - Routine Checkup. Everything is OK. Baby is 11.5oz and has grown from avacodo size to banana size at around 7inches. :) We still do not know the baby's sex. We started to feel the baby's movement this week and according to Daddy, this kid is too active to be anything but a football player in the making. Daddy had this awe look on his face when the baby kicked his hand...It's a beautiful thing to see. Daddy decided to listen to the baby and was kicked in the ear. hehhehehehe..... May 9, 2003 - 2 more weeks to go until the next appointment. The baby has settled into a routine. Sleep during the day and waking up at night. All the baby's kicking and rolling occurs in the evening when I am ready to settle down. And they are strong enough so that I can feel the movements without touching the belly. I am starting to fill out my maternity clothes and its wonderful, especially with a husband who thinks I make a cute looking pregnant woman. However, I will draw the line at being pregnant all the time. He's enjoying this so much he feels he should keep me "pregnant more often". Don't think so. May 17, 2003 - Today we went "Baby Shopping" and actually bought something for the baby. Lots of baby clothes. I had an interview for a transfer which went well and since the facility was right next to the mall we dropped by the Children's Place. Imagine Dung's surprise when I informed him that baby clothes came in different sizes too. He was grabbing items left and right from preemies to 12 months. (pretty much whatever drew his fancy) hehehehehe...Most of the clothes we purchased were green, white, and yellow since we still do not know the baby's sex. But Daddy Dung insists he felt the baby's manhood poking around so he bought one blue outfit with matching hat. And was a bit irritated they didn't have mittens to match. May 21, 2003 - Today was the doctor's appointment. I have gained more weight and is now 119.5 pounds. Blood pressure is still normal and the baby is is the size of a 12inch subway sandwich. The doctor measured my stomach and says it is just the right size. I guess that is good. My next appointment will require some more blood tests for diabetes and something else. I forgot. |
