Surgeon Alden B. Skinner 25th CT Volunteers. Enlisted Oct. 1, 1862. Died March 30, 1863. He was from Vernon, CT. Sons of Union Veterans Camp in Rockville, CT named for him. Camp is still in existence and meets in the last complete GAR Hall in Connecticut. Hall is located on the 2nd floor of the Rockville Town Hall. GAR meeting hall is complete as when the Civil War veterans met there. Worth a visit. Call Rockville Town Hall for details. |
