Sgt. John W. Crane Co. A 1st CT Infantry. Served at 1st Bull Run. Mustered out 7/31/61. Enlisted 12/12/61 in Co. H 12th CT Vols. as Sgt. On 9/23/63 he was commissioned into 91st USCT. On 7/7/64 transferred to Co. B 74th USCT. Promoted to Captain 9/23/63. Discharged 10/11/65. Crane is wearing unusual 5 button sack coat issued by the State of Connecticut. BM: Prescott & Gage, Hartford, CT. |
Capt. Charles Blinn Co. C 13th CT Vols. Enlisted 10/26/61. Promoted Lt. Col. 10/29/63. Served as Colonel from 11/24/63 to discharge on 1/6/65. BM: Beers & Mansfield, New Haven, CT. |
Pvt. William H. Griggs Co. D 18th CT Vols. From Pomfort, CT. Enlisted Aug. 11, 1862. Captured June 15, 1863 at Winchester, VA. Paroled July 15, 1863. Mustered out June 27, 1865. |
1st Lt. William R. Harmount Enlisted 8/16/62 as 1st Lt. Co. C 27th CT Vols. to serve 9 months. Fought at Fredericksburg & Chancellorsville, where he was captured along with Co. C and every other company of the 27th except Cos. D & F, which went on to serve at Gettysburg. He was paroled 5/23/63 & mustered out 7/27/63. BM: Moulthrop & Williams, New Haven, CT. |
