William Simpson WARE was born June 11, 1843 in Jackson County, MO. May 11, 1866 he married Mary Ardena LANGSTON in Wyandotte, KS. William died 2/15/1935 in Yukon, OK. Mary was born 10/4/1851 in AR and died 12/2/1932 in Yukon, OK.

The family legend is that Mary Langston Ware (Grandmammy) and Jesse Ware (Pop) ran in the Cherokee Strip land race in Grant County, Jefferson, OK. Grandmammy staked a place. Pop got land (Kiowa opening) in a drawing at Snyder, OK (not verified).

William Simpson Ware and Mary Ardena Langston Ware separated when their children were young. William then married M. E. Barnett in Texas, they had one known son who died.

Jesse Warren Ware b 1870 in Johnson County Kansas, d. 6/1967 in Stigler, Haskell Co., OK; m. Lucy Adeline ALLISON b. 2/1874 in Lockwood, MO, d. 7/1966 in Quinton, OK. (Jesse and Lucy moved to Oklahoma in l901)
