Our Family Today
from Mary's garden...
We are two natives, one an Arkie and one an Okie.  Both retired, the Arkie worked in state government for thirty years, and the Okie worked in the university system for thirty-four years.

Our lives are centered around our five children and  sixteen grandchildren, nine boys and seven girls.  Three of the girls are triplets and is that an experience!

We are animal lovers and have Molly, the cat mistress of the house; and two dogs, Misty and Elvira.  Misty and Elvira have gone where good doggies go.  Molly is now joined by Sugar, Bugar and Rufus; and horses Kandy (a mustang from Nevada) and Montello Bar-Lea (alias Monte).  We also take care of our forest friends...the squirrels, birds, and deer.
Rufus has joined Elvira where good doggies go.  Kandy and Montello Bar-Lea have a new home.  Molly is now joined by Rag Baby, Butch, Bobbie Lu, Wild Man, and Cleo.  Rag, Bobbie and Wild Man are bobtails.  Sugar and Bugar are joined by BooCain.

We have done some traveling and hope to do more.  We made trips to Japan and England; and have traveled around this good old USA.

We enjoy home projects, remodeling and decorating; also, landscaping and flower gardening.  Family gatherings on birthdays and holidays are our big events..

Our favorite spectator sports are the Arkansas Razorback (THE HOG'S) football and basketball, and Nascar.  Mark Martin is our favorite driver.

I am working on our family tree.  It is fun!  I now have several generations of family information.   I have information for the Sims family from 1765 when they left Ireland and arrived in America...Thanks to
Steve Lawson and his work.  Thanks to Don Thompson, I have Langston information from the 1300's.  You may contact Don for information on the Bradley County AR Langstons
I have completed several other lines.  My efforts are now centered on my 'brick walls', great great grandfather's Corley, Rudkin and Ware.

High Flight

Oh I have skipped the surly bonds of earth
And danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings
Sunward I've climbed and joined the tumbling mirth
Of sun-split clouds and done a hundred things
You have not dreamed of-wheeled and soared and swung
High in the sunlit silence. Hov'ring there,
I've chased the shouting wind along, and flung
My eager craft through footless halls of air
Up, Up the long, delirious, burning blue
I've topped the wind-swept heights with easy grace
Where never lark, or even eagle flew
And, while with silent lifting mind I've trod
The high untrespassed sanctity of space,
Put out my hand and touched the face of God.
