SOME SIGNS OF DEPRESSION
Are you suddenly gaining or losing a lot of weight?
Do activities you used to  enjoy no longer spark an interest?
DEPRESSION
In children, signs of depression can be even more subtle but often include a behavior change, increased irritability, change in sleep patterns, etc.
Perhaps you are reading this because you are currently experiencing depression and you are wondering if it is normal, and when will it end.
Sometimes depression is caused by chemical changes in the brain and may be helped with medication. But even for those individuals medicine alone will not cure the condition.
Depression is a normal response to certain situations: loss of a loved one (and, yes, pets count), changes in life situations e.g. divorce, moves, decline in health, etc.
Talking does help.
Obviously, there are more symptoms and not everyone will experience every symptom.

Depression comes in many forms. People experience depression as a reaction to situations. It is a normal part of life and if we are  honest with ourselves we will  remember times we've been depressed.
Do you have little to no appetite?
Do you lack energy to do even normal daily chores?
Are you sleeping a lot more or a lot less?
Do you feel sad all the time?
