Rants, news, & updates: 08.08.06. Too many puppies, getting shot in the dark. . . . . . Too many puppies, just like me! News/Updates: No News or Updates at the moment. Rant: Ahhh, the smell of newborn characters, and the start of new story. Well my good readers, I can feel my newest series taking on a more define form. And I'm just about ready to put it to paper. But before I do, I need to do a bit of research about public schools, since I'm home schooled. But rest to sure, once I finish the story line and write the first three stories and get it copyrighted, I shall start posting the series on here. Review of Clerks II. The movie takes place about ten years after the first Clerks movie. It begins with Dante arriving at Quick Stop to open it, only to find that it's on fire. With the Quick-n-stop burned down the movie jumps forward one year, in which time Dante and Randal find work at Mooby's. The rest of the movie is about Dante's last day at Mooby's, the reason for it being Dante's last day is because he plans on moving away from Jersey the day after. Although as people who saw the first movie know, Dante's plans are of little importance to the world, and the universe always tries to take an s*** on him every chance it gets. But Dante and Randal aren't the only people to move from Quick-n-stop to Mooby's, that's right kids, Jay and silent Bob return in glory and we couldn't be happier. If not anything, go see the movie for Jay and silent Bob. In the movie Randal starts to realize that he's starting to get older (he is in his thirties after all.). I probably should mention something about the other characters, but I don't really feel like it. Oh, and if you think that you pretty much figured out the movie from the previews, trailers, specials, etc. They were just the tip of the iceberg, believe me, there's a lot more to the movie then you couldn't even figure out from just watch the promotional stuff. It's a perfect mix of humor, heart, nostalgia, and f***ed-up-ness. A must see, but I think it's about to leave theaters soon, so you might want to see it as soon as possible. I also suggest watching the first film before hand, not that it's really necessary, there's just a few things which you wouldn't get if you didn't see the first film first. I give Clerks II Directed by Kevin Smith and staring Brian O'Halloran and Jeff Anderson , 4 out of 5 stars. Well, that's it for this update. Enjoy the rest of your summer everyone. I think I'll go find a copy of "Lord of the Flies" now. Till next time, From a Place Where Nothing Happens. |

Rants, news, & updates: 10.05.06. FEEED MYY, WEB-SI-I-ITE!! Hungry for hits, and it's feeding time! News/Updates: Work on all projects have stopped. Comics have been put up in the Art&Writings section. New section, "The Other stuff" section. Rant: Drinking blood out of scorched knuckles. Well, It's been awhile. Now If you haven't been reading my myspace blog or my Journal at Dreadful Dreams. I got a job (yay) working at McDonald's. So what does this mean for my work? Well, I'll be getting more contact with the outside world, which always helpful in writing. And having money will allow me to buy more food for thought. Namely, comic books!! Man, I haven't bought a comic book in three months! I'm way behind on 52. And I have lunch shift, and I only three to four hours, so it doesn't get in the way of anything. I hope my first check will be big enough, so I can pay off my expenses, and be able buy stuff for Halloween. Ahh, October, it's one of my favorite months of the year. The foliage is all sort of colors, the chill in the air, how everything looks on a sunny(partly sunny) day in the late afternoon/ at sunset. Not to mention, it's the only time of year you can walk around wearing a costume with out people looking at you funny, or making fun of you, or throwing old Easter candy at you. Okay, they still do that, but at the least you have a legitimate reason for walking around dressed like some phantom-type thing. I'm not exactly sure what I'm going to do this Halloween. I was thinking of renting the most horrific horror movies I can find. Or I can go Trick or Treating with my nephew. Or I can just wander around someplace and scare the crap out of random people. I'm just not sure, and work is a big factor in all of this. If I work that day I might not be able to do anything, or at the least be too tire to do most of the stuff. Umm, Rob Zombie is hosting something on TCM. . . Yeah, just got to see how things play out. Now, as for my projects. . . .I rather not talk about them at the moment. That's all for now, I'll try to update again in the first week of November. But I'll probably won't update again until December, but check back every week just in case. Till next time, Happy Halloween! From a Place Where Nothing Happens. |

Rants, news, & updates: 11.14.06. **** dubbed animes! Subtitles all the way 817(|-|!! News/Updates. The address names for the archives pages have been change. Any and all links to the archives pages are now broken. There's also a new archive page, "Archives 08/08/06 to ?/?/?". New comic in Art&Writings. Rant: I'm the number one street fighter in Kappa!! Hey everyone! I'm back, and only after five weeks of nothingness. Nothing much in the way of writing this past month. Did a little bit of art, but it's not ready to be release just yet. I've just been busy with my job. But I don't mind, the money helps me buy comics and such which inspire me. Anyway, I plan on doing some art for my MySpace page, and for me to use as avatars on the various forums I'm a member of. My brother is moving out of my room and into my sisters room (for the fifth time.). With him and his stuff out, I'm going to clean and rearrange my room, posters and all. I'm thinking the new set up of my room may help with things. My job is going well, although, the only thing I do is work on the grill. Even though I feel comfortable with my position, I would like to be able to do more. I think I'm going to ask to have more training with other things, or at the least, be allowed to study one of their books on how to do stuff. I saw "Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan" the other day. It was ****ing hilarious! It's the funniest movie I've seen all year, it was even funnier then Clerks II (Sorry Jay and Silent Bob.<:\). But hey, you need a very open mind to see this movie. Now, my review of Trigun Maximum Volume 9: LR by Yasuhiro Nightow.: This volume is all about our favorite gun slinging priest, Nicholas D. Wolfwood. Seriously, Vash is in like, only in five panels in the entire book. I'm not sure how to explain the story, it would probably be best if you visited the dark horse profile page for the story; http://www.darkhorse.com/profile/profile.php?sku=13-693 Like always, a great read for any comic/manga reader. This has some very deep characterization for Wolfwood, and for Livio. The humor which is in most Trigun volumes has been beaten to a pulp and has been placed underneath a large rock for the duration of the book.(unless you count Nightow's commentary in the back of the book.). Over all, Trigun reader may be disappointed that Vash isn't in the book, but Wolfwood fans will be overjoyed. I give "Trigun Maximum Volume 9: LR by Yasuhiro Nightow" a 4 out of 5. That's all for this update, I'll be doing two updates this December, one in the first week, and another in the third. Till next time, Have a Happy Thanksgiving everyone, From a Place Where Nothing Happens. |

Rants, news, & updates: 12.17.06. . . .I got nothing. . . News & Updates: New comic in the art&writings section. Rant: Batteries are running low, please recharge soon. Man, I just can't seem to get anything done anymore. Not only I'm late updating this page, I was also late getting the Dreadful Dreams Newsletter out. I'm so very sorry about that. At first, things just kept coming up that distracted me from things, or prevented me from doing them entirely. But now I just can't get the motivation to do it, I get ready to do some thing, but I just end up looking at a blank piece of paper or word file until I get bored. I think the problem is that I don't have anything to inspire me. You see, I only get paid once every other week, that's two checks a month. And all of my second check goes to my car payment, so my first check of the month has to last me until the next month. Well I used the money from first of last month to buy things for me and my brother's Wii. I spent more then I was going to on the Wii. And I have to use the money of my first check of this month on Christmas presents. Because this I've been unable to buy more then two or five comics for the last two months. And my comics are a big part of my inspiration, and without them my well gets low. My imagination is going twenty-four seven, but it's nothing but useless(at the time) and random thoughts, and nothing that I can use for my current projects. I find something to invoke the inspiration that I need, So I can fully channel my imagination into my work. So I‘ll be spending more filling in the blankness then looking at trying to bring forth the motivation that I need to fill it. That all I can muster now, And I WILL update again on the twenty-fourth (Christmas eve.). Till next time, Happy Holidays! From a Place Where Nothing Happens. |

Rants, news, & updates: 12.24.06. I'm all sick, and on Christmas Eve too. Please, Pray for a Christmas miracle. News & Updates: No News and/or Updates. Rant: Christmas '06 Merry Christmas everyone! Man, did the time fly over December, I didn't get to do all of the things I wanted to do. Got Christmas shopping done in pretty good time, my brother however, didn't his done until today. And I had to drive him, but we found presents for the people left on his list pretty quickly. Like I said above, I'm sick. I can believe it, a day before Christmas of all times. I'm hoping if I hit this thing hard and fast, I'll be okay for tomorrow (Christmas day). Well, that all I can do today. Hope you all have a 817(|-|1|\|' Christmas, New Year, and everything in between. Till next time, Merry Christmas! From a Place Where Nothing Happens. |

Rants, news, & updates: 02.23.07. First update of O'Seven. Or "year zero", whatever you prefer. News & Updates: No real news, and nothing really has been updated. Rant: This year shall be the year of Inspiration, With hopefully low Procrastination. Well, it's a new year, what does that mean? Nothing, nothing at all. Since a year is nothing more then a measurement of time. However, I am now eighteen this year, which means a lot, But that's irrelevant. I have started on profiles for my characters for project. I am also working on the outline for said project. I am still unsure of what the format will be however. I'm not sure if it should be in a novel type format, or a comic/graphic-novel format. I would prefer it be a comic/graphic-novel, but there's no way I could do the art for a comic series or graphic novel. At least at the level I would want one of my novels at. It would simply take far too long. Maybe with practice I could, but it would take years of practice before I could do a comic series/graphic novel. So I would need to get a another artist to do it. But I know I would be so controlling over it I'll probably drive the artist(s) mad. Well anyway, I'll cross that bridge once I get to that point. Another thing, I would like to get my hands on a video camera and special effects software. It would just be so cool if I could make short films to post on the internet or whatever. But I'll probably need to get a new computer to do that. So we're talking at least eight-hundred to a thousand dollars. And that wouldn't be easy to get. It'll take me at least six months to a year to get that kind of cash, and that's if I don't spend a cent on anything other then my car and such. I need to get a computer anyway, I'll probably need one for collage. _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ A month or so later. . . Yep, what you just read above was written awhile ago. I was actually thinking about deleting it. You see, I wrote that before the superbowl, and my team, The Chicago Bears, was going to be in it. So I thought "I'll wait until after the game, add a little bit about the game before I post it." then the Bears lost, it wasn't as much that they lost, but how they lost. Know what I mean? I wasn't sure what to do then. Should I just come out and talk about it, or should I just not mention it? Well here it is, nearly a month later, And is anyone still thinking about football? No, so what the point about me not posting this? Anyway, a couple of things have come up that I want to talk about. First off: I was on Darkhorse's web-site, seeing what they had to say about the Superman and Batman VS. Aliens and Pradator comics (I just now saw the add in Teen Titans #43.) And look what I found! Hellsing Volume Eight by Kohta Hirano!! I am so happy it's going to finally be out here in the U.S. of A! And just look at the cover! Anderson is on the F***ing cover!! Second thing: So I had some extra money to spend this week when I went to the comic book store, Acme, So I decided to buy something new that day. I mostly buy comics of the superhero genre, but I wanted something different to read, something new. So looked for about fifteen minutes for a comic I didn't knew of. Then I found this book, Local written by Brian Wood and Art by Ryan Kelly. I said to myself "this looks interesting.", It looked right up my alley, so I brought two issues along with my other comics. I came home, found two comics in the mail (which made me really happy.), and I sat down with my comics to read. I decided to read Local last, and to take my time with it. Man, this is a awesome comic, I can't believe I haven't read this book before now! I haven't been this excited to read the next issue of a comic in awhile. The premise of Local, is series of short stories about people and their hometowns which they live in. Well, I think that's all for now, no need to make this longer. Oh, I also wrote the little something below this a month or so ago too. _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ Also, I after this update I shall no longer say "From A Place Where Nothing Happens". I've decided to retire phase after one year and four months of use. Go to Archives page three, update 8.09.05 to view the first update/rant I used the phase. It's also the first update to have the picture of the update. Till next time, From a Place Where Nothing Happens. |
