Rants, news, & updates: 8.09.05 Wow, A month, A MONTH!! Without updating, how did this happen. Well I'll tell you. Just two days after updating last I got my drivers license! (YAYY!!) And a job at my local D.Q. (um yay I guess) so I've busy this past month and one week. So let me tell you about my job, what you don't want hear it, oh come on let me tell you, please let me tell you, fine! But can at the least tell you what I do, ok then. I'm the cleaning/maintenance guy, and as far as I know, the only one. Now, I said last update, I was going to do rant about Jhonen Vasquez's "the Bad Art Collection" but decided not to, mainly because it requires rereading it, and just looking at the cover makes my brain hurt. So I'll tell you this about it.(Note this is actually a Retouched quote from Fillerbunny#1) "Reading it made me retarded, Brutally Retarded. Doctor: oh here's your problem, you're retarded. Go sleep it off. Me: gooo " Now that's out off the way, umm Crap I forgot what I was going to say. Oh yeah, now I remember, the video game page is (and I know that I've been saying this last couple of months but) will be going down, at September 1st at noon. That's just about everything now, enjoy the rest of your summer. Till next time, From a Place where nothing happens. |
Rants, news, & updates: 10.12.05 After two months, I raise to update this web site. Now first things first, I finally decided what to do with this web site, I will put up some of my art and writings. I hope the two of you will like it. And now you can E-mail me. End of news, rant time. Work was an 817c|-| last week. I didn't feel good last week, but my illness didn't seem too severe enough to keep me from working, although I found out yesterday that I have bronchitis so I guess it was severe after all. But I digress, more, and more I consider quitting and getting a job at Hardee's, they probably pay a lot better there; since they are in direct competition with McDonald's (especially since they are right next door to each other). And Saturday, oh Saturday. Saturday was Hell on earth at work; I don't even want to talk about it. Now about my sickness, at first I thought it was a head-cold cause by the rapid temperature change, (it was 87* one day, and 51* the next). First I took Suphedrine and it work for a time but wouldn't work after the firth day, so took some Vicks 44 cough relief, but it only help a little, and then I went to the doctor and he said I had bronchitis and he put me on some Zithromax. I should be better by this Sunday. Till next time, From a Place where nothing happens. |
note: the site was around for 5 weeks before the archives page was made. so the first news, updates, and rants are lost forever. |
Rants, news, & updates: 11.15.05 Okay, it's been a month since I updated last. And so much has happen, and I wanted to report it as news and/or rant about it. But now, most of what I wanted to say is Irrelevant now, oh well. News: First off the "About me" page is under way, but the "art & writings" page probably won't happen until the end of the year. There is a new link in "My favorites links" down at the bottom of this page. The link is to "Hellz Fire" a message broad I found at another broad (the "sonic: uncut forums", a message broad for the flash-toon Sonic: uncut) check it out but I warn you it's kind of dark and they don't really mind if you use the "F" word, but don't worry, most of the member (if not all) are around 16. End of news, Rant: I been trying to get a new job lately, I decided not to get a job at Hardee's, and I tried at Mcdonalds, but they never called me back. So I now am trying for a job at Kroger. I mean sure its a 15-mile drive from my house, but when you look at this way: Driving 7-miles to Dairy Queen, which is in Hell's asshole IL. (El Paso IL.) get low pay and very low hours, and has little or no adult supervision over the teenage workers, so they get a way with stuff like: Dropping things on your head as walk out the back door [like; boxes, single-servings packets of various things (barbecue-sauce namely), soda, food, and ice-cream.] Spreading lies about you (like; saying that you f***ed with a co-worker in the cooler, telling people that you run a porn site, and/or telling their friends that you do drugs.) Throw stuff at you, Insult you, the things you stand for, and your intelligence, They wipe their feet on the mop, while you're mopping, And they just don't know that enough is enough! But working at Kroger; Driving 15-miles to Kroger, which is in Normal IL. Get pay a little better (with raises), tons of hours with the holidays coming up, And have work environment that is based of; honesty, mutual respect, teamwork, and high standards. Enough said. Now pulling away from subject of my job. My truck took an S*** on me. I don't know what's wrong with it. It just cut out on me in the middle of an intersection (that was kind of scary). Once I got to safety, I tried to re-start it but it wouldn't start, it would turn over, but it wouldn't fire. It costs 120$ for the tow, and I still don't know how much it's going to cost to get it fix. That's just about everything now; I think I may go kill some demons now. Till next time, From a Place where nothing happens. |

Rants, news, & updates: 12.05.05 Oh the weather outside is frightful, but the fire is sure delightful, and since we've no place to go, let it snow, let it snow, let it snow News/Updates. Not much news. The art & writings page may be up sooner than I thought. And I'm changing the "About me" page to "My Profile" page, and it will be up shortly. Also in my last rant I posted a link to the flash-toon sonic: uncut, which is on newgrounds.com. Now the thing is that Newgrounds has R rated and adult-only material on there, so I ask for you to obey the rating system and please dont watch anything that youre too young for. And I take no responsible for what kind of content you find or your child has found on Newgrounds, nor for any of the links on their site. End of News/Updates Rant: "Me quitting my job, the death of my truck, and Vash the Stampede." On the 16th, (The day after I updated last.) I gave my two weeks notice at D.Q. The "official" reasons that I quit were; "That my truck died and I wasn't getting enough hours." Sure, I could have asked for more hours and bought a new car. But I had a feeling that I wouldn't have got more hours if asked (even if I asked real nicely.), or at the least, not enough to buy a new car. Oh well, the job wasn't working out the way I hoped anyways. So the 30th, was my last day. I wanted to talk to the co-worker that I liked and give one of them the URL for my site (that would be this site. some guy off-screen: "well duh!" Me: "it was a joke, so please SHUT-UP!" Guy-off-screen: "you shut-up!" Me: "Don't make me come over there." Guy-off-screen: "you can't come over here." Me: "why not?" Guy-off-screen: "because I'm not real." Me: "oh yeah, I forgot about that."). Where was I? Oh yes. I didn't get to talk to anyone on my last day. Well no, I spoke to people, but I didn't actually get talk to them. I was too busy to talk. First, I had to pick-up all the trash around the building and parking lot, (that took me almost two hours and three trash bags.) and I had to clean the cooler (that took me another two hours), so a pretty boring day altogether. I was going to do a comic about my last day, with the events exaggerated. But with the day being so boring, and having almost no contact with anyone, there is nothing to exaggerate and to make funny. And I know what some of you who were my co-workers are thinking: "why is it you didn't tell anyone that you were that unhappy, why didn't you complain to the owner or to the manager?" Well you see, I thought if I was to tell on anyone, they'd probably egg my house or mess up my truck or something, and I didn't want to make a big thing of it. That, and the manager thought I was retarded, She never said it (in front me at the least) but she sure as hell treated me like I was. I know I don't talk well, but that does not give someone a reason to treat to me like I'm retarded! Or to treat anybody else like that! And now I leave the subject of "Me quitting my job," for closely tied-in subject of "The death of my truck". Just two hours after I updated last we got the call from Mounce's (the place we took the Dodge to find out what was wrong with it) they said that the camshaft broke, damaging one cylinder head and breaking the timing belt. When my Mom told me this I knew that the Old Black Dodge was dead. At first, my Dad wanted to try fixing it, but then he gave it more thought, and decided to junk it (it was his to junk). That night I thought about what I was going to do. My Mom suggested that with me being unhappy with my job and talking about quitting for awhile now, and with the truck dying, I should give my two weeks notice, and take the winter off. I slept on this, and that morning I decided to take my Mom's suggestion and to give my two weeks notice. Also, if Kroger was to give me a job, then I'll buy a new car. On the 23rd my Dad told me that the Black Dodge was put in a car shredder. All that I have left of it is: the battery, the letters off the side of it, which say Dakota, and my key. I'll miss that Old Black Dodge. I know what some of you are thinking: "Why do you care so much about an old Dodge? A Dodge?!?" Well I'll tell you, because it was my first car, and a boy's (or girl's) first car is very special to him or her. So I respectfully ask all of you to observe a moment of silence for my "1989 Dodge Dakota". .......................................... .......................................................................... And now, for something happy. I waited for months, I saved for it, I pre-ordered it, and now I have it, Trigun Maximum Volume 7: Happy Days. Oh yeah! I can't even begin to describe it, but I'll try. So here's my review of "Trigun Maximum volume 7: Happy Days by Yasuhiro Nightow" [Don't worry, there are no spoilers in this review. (Note; you need to read volumes 1 through 6 of "Trigun Maximum" before you can read "Trigun Maximum volume7", and you need to read the 2 volumes of "Trigun" before you can even start reading "Trigun Maximum".)] It starts right where volume 6 left off; the first half of the manga takes place in the past, when Vash and Knives were kids. We get to learn a lot about what happened back than, and probably what motivates Knives to do what he's doing in the present. The 2nd half of the manga has some more characterization for Vash and Knives, and a bit for Wolfwood. Also it seems to be setting-up for something in volume 8, which is due for publishing in February 2006. It has some of best action in the "Trigun" mangas, a bit of humor, deep characterization, and one of the best mangas I've read. I give it a 5, out 5. So go out and buy "Trigun Maximum volume 7: Happy Days by Yasuhiro Nightow". And if you didn't read the "Trigun" and "Trigun Maximum" mangas before, now would be a good time to start (they make great stocking stuffers). Just read "Trigun volume 1" and work your way up. Closing comments. Now before I'm done here I have something to say. I know that my last couple rants seem to be ignorant and even hateful, and I just want to say that I am not an ignorant or hateful person. I was under some stress, and a tick named Bobby just kept getting underneath my skin, so I was just venting, that's all. And about me calling El Paso IL Hell's Asshole, Well I do mean that, and I will not take it back. But there is some good people in El Paso, I would name them but that would probably be a bad idea. Till next time, From a Place where nothing happens. |

Rants, news, & updates: 01.18.06 Must fight off horde of zombies, so I can update my web site. News/Updates. The "Art & Writings" page is finally up, although there's not much there yet. The "My Profile" page isn't, I'm not too sure how to go about it. I'm afraid I might give out too much information about my self and have my identity stolen. If you have any suggestions at all, please E-mail me. I would like to hear your suggestions, or your can E-mail me just to comment on something. Rant: There is no title to this rant. Oh wait, this will do. A lot has happened since last time so this may take awhile to read (I suggest you go get a snack or something, maybe a cup of hot-chocolate. 1st off, a short re-cap of Christmas. Christmas was a little different this year. Instead of going to my grandma & grandpa's on Christmas day, we went to my Aunt's the day after Christmas. So on Christmas day all I did was played with new things. Which wasn't much, although that didn't bother me. 2nd Now a short re-cap of my birthday. I turned 17 on the 30th of December. So now I can legally buy a M-rated game, and go see or buy a R-rated movie. And that's just about it. My Mom had to work on my birthday so we celebrated it on the day after (new years eve). 3rd: The week after my birthday, I went to Best Buy and bought, "Resident Evil 4" for the Nintendo Game Cube. I know a lot of you are saying "WHAT! You just now got RE4! What's wrong with you?" well I'll tell you. I was too young to buy it before, and I didn't have the money to give to my sister so she could buy it for me. Hell I didn't even have the money to buy it when I did. My little brother gave the money so I could buy it for him. And also my Mom hates M-rated games, she think all games should be E-rated. Anyway it's a great game, one of the best NGC games out there. And if you never even played a demo of it, shame on you! Okay that's enough of old news, here's what's going on now. I've been trying to get a new car as of late. But in order to get a car I need a job, and in order to get job I need car, See my problem. But I not only do I want a job to get car, I also want a job so I can get Macromedia Flash so I can make flash-toons, so I can buy subscriptions to my comics, and so I can buy more mangas. On to other matters, Hellz Fire is almost dead. If it weren't for ChaosGamer, and me there would be no body even there, at all. Although I think if Hellz Fire was to get more members who would actually post something, it would make it a more little livelier. So check it out, you may like. And now last, but not the least. The Mangas I read since last I updated. Hellsing Vol.5 by Kohta Hirano: The 5th installment in the series, it picks up where vol.4 left off. It's hard to describe, so won't try (it's not like I'm reviewing it.). I give it a 5 out of 5. Fooly Cooly (FLCL) Vol.1: I'm a big fan of the anime so I thought the manga would be even more awesome, but I was wrong. The story is hard to follow at times, and the art wasn't too good. Sometimes I couldn't tell what I was looking at. Although, the humor saves it from being bad, it's still a good read, but only if there's nothing else to read. A 3 out of 5, (I'm still going to get vol.2 though.) Samurai Champloo Vol.1: Like the Fooly Cooly manga, it's based on the anime instead of the other way around. It's a bit more humorous than the anime, but the action is better in the anime. Over all I give it a 4 out of 5. Yu-Gi-Oh! Vol.1: This isn't the 1st time I read the Yugioh manga, but I only read what was in Shonen Jump magazine. Now unlike the anime where it was Duel Monsters from the start, the 1st volume of Yugioh makes no mention of the card game. All of the games yugi plays (as yami-yugi) he makes up on the spot. And also yami-yugi in the vol.1 is very malevolent (almost evil), and he looks really freaky. A 5 out of 5. Well that's just about it. I like to thank all of you for the hits on my counter, which is soon to hit 200 hits. And probably would be by the time you read this. So I just like to say to the person who gives me the 200th hit. Thank you 200th visitor. Till next time, From a Place Where Nothing Happens. |
