PTA Membership

• As part of the Cupertino-Fremont- Sunnyvale Council of PTAs, 6^th District PTA (Santa Clara County) state and national organization, your membership in PTA can make a big difference.
•  You will be joining millions of concerned adults in a well-respected organization whose goals are to obtain the highest advantages in physical, mental and social education for youth. The more members that join PTA, the stronger our voice will be in Sacramento and Capitol Hill, where policies affecting our students' education are made.
• PTA has been very active in issues such as school bonds, class sizes, teacher training and pay, school vouchers, arts education, school wellness and fitness, just to name a few.

PTA plays a vital and collaborative role at Monta Vista. PTA serves as a communication link between the parents and school and is committed to support the students, teachers, and the parents to help make our students successful in their education.

If you have not already done so, we invite you to become a member of the Monta Vista PTA by sending in the completed MEMBERSHIP FORM. Our dues are $18 for family membership and $10 for a single parent membership. We also request a voluntary donation of $2 to help pay for our costs for the school newsletter. Checks can be made payable to the Monta Vista PTA and sent to the school office at 21840 McClellan Rd., Cupertino, CA 95014.

The membership dues and your generous donations help fund many of the school activities & programs. In the past years, PTA has sponsored many valuable programs such as: the "Every 15 Minutes" Program that educates the students on not mixing drinking & driving, and the Camp Everytown program to empower students.

Your membership dues also entitle you to a free student phone directory. The directory is a useful tool for both students and parents.

We do hope that many of you will join PTA as members and allow us to help enrich the Monta Vista experience for you and your students. The deadline to be listed in the Directory is 9/30/08.
