At left - Fred Agabashian in his midget racer at a local San Jose 1/4 mile racetrack. Dad's hero in the 50's. |
My favorite car that dad owned while I was a teenager in the 60's. A 1958 corvette, 283cid, 4bbl and fast! This car eventually had a gas leak and burned up the engine compartment badly. Being the generous man my dad is, he gave it to an old friend, Buck Toddy! We never knew what happened to it as we lost contact with Buck. |
Below is my current daily driver the day I brought it home - A 1966 El Camino, 327cid, 4bbl, posi-traction, turbo 400 trans, clean. |
Here is my wife's 2000 Ford Expedition XLT-Sport that drove like a dream. Unfortunately, I had to crash it in stop-n-go traffic one day. Needless to say Kelly was a bit crushed with only 16,000 miles on it, but it repaired out just fine. We used this truck alot with other family members and trips. Below is our son Gerrit's work-in-progress mini truck that he currently drives. A 1989 S-10 chevy with a "full blown air-bag system". Those are 18" Boyd's wheels and a great sound system to boot. Currently he and his girlfriend Melanie are leading members of Southern California's "SUNSET MINI TRUCKS" club. When finished it will be an eye-stopper! |
Come back and see more pic's and stories as this page is always "UNDER CONSTRUCTION" Thanks. |

Do you remember your FIRST car in High School? This is my gem of a find in 1972, a 1959 Cadillac with all the trimmings. The car was purchased for $300 from the original owner.. I had to barrow some money from mom to get the thing. I had a ton of fun in that cruiser including many trips to Las Vegas at midnight with the trunk full of beer. It's a miracle we never went to jail as loaded as we were! After I joined the Navy, I sold it in fair running condition to my buddy Ed Roe for $250.....Should have kept it!!! |
