| Posed with a couple of museum doormen dressed like Cossacks. When I asked for a picture they said in deep forceful tones, "You want picture, you pay 50 rubles!" It is the custom here for all men to speak as deeply as possible with a forceful emphasis to their speech... which makes most Russian men speaking English sound like a parody of themselves. | Made over to Red Square in time to view Lenin, or what's left of him. The guards were very strict and watchful; no talking (or whispering) and keep moving. He's in fine shape for the shape he's in. It's a thing to do, I guess but the whole affair was very strange. |
