Hello there Cabbage Patch Lovers!  I started collecting late December 1999, just as I was finishing off my last semester in college.  The Preschool theme of this site is based on a real-life love for children that led me to major in Psychology and Child Development at the same time (and yes, I did get my college diplomas in both majors!).  I am staunch supporter of Free Arts For Abused Children and Prevent Child Abuse.

I am currently enrolled as a Graduate Student at a local university under the School Counseling program. I started my first semester in the Fall of 2001. It requires a lot of time and effort to be in the program, but I am enjoying this once in a lifetime experience. However, this may means that I will have LESS time updating this site and collecting CPK's. However, I don't think it will completely stop, but I will probably continue collecting on a VERY SLOW pace. I do look forward to my time off from school where I can spend more time collecting dolls and hanging out with FRIENDS.

The 1998 15th Anniversary Edition of the CPK's is what got me interested in collecting these popular 80's kiddos.  When I first started collecting, I decided to adopt around 15-20 kids each year.  Well, that has changed drastically within the first year of my collecting after learning that there are actually existing private adoption sites of CPK's. After a few months of collecting, I discovered eBay, but then again, that's another story!  If I hadn't sold some of my duplicate kids, I would've accumulated more than 100+ CPK's.  Right now I have downsized my collection to about 69 kids to be exact (as of 1/22/02).

As you may have noticed, the No. 3 head mold kids (a.k.a. happy face) are my favorite, as stated a million times in this site!  However, I am also crazed by the #1 HM kids from the IC, UT and especially the Jesmar factories.  I collect a few No. 2 HM kids here and there, although this is not my favorite.  I love the No. 4 kids with the pacifier face!  I like the #5,6,8,14, 19 and 36 head molds.
