Requirements: Finished Rune Mysteries Quest
Difficulty Level: Easy
Items/Levels Needed to Start: 50 UNNOTED essence, about 3 or 4 Varrock
Teleport Spells, and a bucket of water
Rewards: 1 Quest Point, Wolfbane (a sword), prayer experience, and a
new town
Quest Starts: King Roald in Varrock Castle
1. Talk to King Roald. He will tell you that a contact has been lost,
and he asks you to find him.
2. Go to the temple which is near the Mysterious Ruins and go through
the gate and follow the road. Right-click on Knock on, and the people
will eventually tell you to go kill the dog.
3. The dog is located in the dungeon to the north.
4. Go back to the temple, and knock on the door again. They will be
telling you to go talk to King Roald.
5. King Roald will tell you that you killed the dog that was supposed
to be guarding the place, so he'll ask you to go back to the temple.
6. Go into the temple. Kill a level 30 Monk of Zamorak (the hooded
ones), they will drop a golden key.
7. Go up the stairs, and then the ladder to talk to Drezel. To do
that, right-click on Talk-Through Cell Door.
8. Drezel will talk for a long time, so if you just want the quest
points, just click until he shuts up. Now go back to the dungeon, and
go through the gate. You will see a lot of statues. Study them until
you find one like this:
9. Then use the golden key you got from the Monk of Zamorak, and
you'll get an Iron Key.
10. Go back up to the temple and go through the gate using the iron
key. Talk to Drezel, he says he is scared because of the vampire, and
the only way to hold it is by putting Blessed Water on the coffin.
11. Go back to the dungeon, and use the bucket with the well if you
didn't bring it already.
12. Go back to the temple, and go talk to Drezel to get your water
blessed. (Note: You cannot tell the difference, but you must do it
anyway.)
13. Use the bucket of water with the coffin, then go talk to Drezel
again. He'll tell you to meet him in the dungeon.
14. Go back to the room with statues, and near the one where you found
the key, should be a gate. Go through it and talk to Drezel. He will
ask you about Rune Essence, and to bring it to him. Teleport to
Varrock and bring 25 essence, with your Varrock Teleport runes. Give
it to him, then do it again. A total of 50 essence should be given.
15. After you have given all 50 essence, you have completed the quest!
To access the city, talk to Drezel again, and he'll give you Wolfbane
a sword. Then walk through the portal into the new city!
