| The History of Rue |
| In the vast void, nothing but the will of he named Rune existed. All creations came as of his will. He willed there to be a canvas for him to paint upon, so what is known as space was created. He willed there to be a base for his creations and so planets were formed. He willed there to be one to contain the greatest of his creations and so a special planet was formed. He willed there to be mountains and so great pillars of rock leaped from the plain round surface. he willed there to be water to give his creations a place to replenish themselves and so it rained for years, forming great oceans. He willed there to be air to fuel his creations and so the sky was created, but even he was indecisive as to the color of the sky, therefore many colors coat the dominantly blue ceiling. He then willed his creations into existence. The first of these were monsters and treacherous beasts that tried to overcome their creator, for this they were banished into the darkness, to be hated by all other creations. The next were people of feline character, but these creatures found themselves prone to lay about and do as they wish. Unsatisfied, he willed there to be a larger creature, a dumber creature, a stronger creature, and forth came those of ape like nature with long tails, but they found themselves prone to fight and create chaos out of peace. Again he tried his hand to create another creature, near human, but carried one flaw. They were prone to being gullible and fell to the trickery of beasts that made them neither man nor beast, but monster. Thick coats became their reward from the dark, abandonment their reward from him. Finding a near perfect balance, he created man, but this time they lacked trust and soon distrusted one another to the point that war was waged as often as the apes, yet not the same manner of war. Seeing at what all he created, he decided to create a creature to overlook the others, so forth were conjured the Zairs. Beings fast upon the winds and carries a way of tradition so strong that they never move forward like the others. Not content once more, Rune created another race not grounded so in tradition; the drakes. Creatures of ferocious strength and cunning that did as he willed them to do. Tiring from his work he created three beings to over look the earth, the waters, and the skies. They were to be gods and were charged with the population of creatures to fill their lands. The god of earth created wild jungles of plants, deer, horses, dogs, cats, moles, mice, and creatures of assorted nature. The god of water created fish, turtles, sharks, dolphins, whales, and many other creatures still hidden in the ocean depths. The god of wind created an aerial army of birds and conjoined with the god of water to spread both of their blessings in the form of rain. Rune was happy to see his land growing, but was troubled with the overwhelming growths in life. Soon the planet would be overcome with too many creatures so he created a fourth god. The god of fire was to reside over life and death. The god of fire's job being of such great importance to him that the god was dismissed of need to create creatures, but was given one crafted by Rune himself after his greatest creature. It was to be named Dragon. But the god of Earth found imperfection in all creations and decided to give to all creatures upon the land of Rune's creation the gift of the god's art form, magic. In order to spread this gift the god of Earth formed a creature of pure magic. These beings have come to be known as the Fairy. But again an imperfect creation was made, magic it was graced with, but not muscle, or size. At last the gods were drained from their work and Rune along with the gods resided to rest for thousands of years. Now they have awoken. Their powers still drained from all they gave to their creations. They find that the creatures have developed without their guiding hands and may soon destroy themselves. A few individuals play important parts in keeping the balance of the planet and so they have been blessed by the gods a prowess above others. You are one of those chosen. Now take arms and prepare your self! The gods have not chosen you out of idle pleasure! |
