Saturday, September 30, 2006, 11 am - 8 pm -- Oktoberfest in Lovettsville, VA. Held in downtown Lovettsville, Virginia, located off Route 287 (Berlin Pike) in Loudoun County. Delicious home-made German food served by the Washington Saengerbund. Afternoon performers under the big Oktoberfest tent include the Blaskapelle 'Alte Kameraden' and the Alpine Dancers. Saturday, October 7, 2006, noon to 6 pm -- Oktoberfest of Mid-Atlantic Brewers Association, Shirlington, VA (outside Capitol City Brewing Co). Delicious German food served by the Washington Saengerbund. Performances by the Alpine Dancers, live German music by the Edelweiss Band. Held on streets outside Capitol City Brewing Company, 2700 S. Quincy St., Shirlington. Directions:(The exit from Shirley Highway (395 S) if you are driving northwards is #6, between King Street exit (#5) to the south and Glebe Road (#7) to the north. If you are driving south, take Exit #7 for the "Shirlington" exit, and follow sign to Shirlington. The Village at Shirlington is WEST of Shirley Highway.)

Sunday, December 17, 2006 (3 pm) – Traditional Christmas Concert, United Church (Concordia Kirche), 20th & G Streets, NW, Washington, DC. An offering is taken to help those in need. Following the concert, refreshments are served in the church basement social hall. Our Christmas CD will be available after the concert.

21st Annual Fasching – Mardi Gras Masquerade Ball, Fairfax, VA.. Come join us at our festive Costume Prize Masquerade Ball held at the same fabulous grand ballroom on Arlington Boulevard in Fairfax, VA. Enjoy great live dance music by two great bands, including The Continentals of Washington, DC, playing a wide variety of dance music, including dixieland, waltzes, polkas, sambas, and other Karnival, Latin and ballroom dances. Savor delicious German food specialties, German and domestic beer and wine, soft drinks, and champagne.

Saturday, April 21, 2007, 7pm -- Washington Saengerbund Spring Concert
"Vom Meeresstrand zum Alpenland - A Musical Journey through Germany"
with Maestro Mariano Vales. Held in the beautiful Auditorium of the Scottish Rite Center, 2800 Sixteenth Street, NW, Washington, DC 20009. It will be followed by an elegant reception in the Ballroom of the Center, catered by our own Austrian chef Siegfried. The DJ Wayne “half-step” Miller will provide music for dancing.
Free, secure, gated above and underground parking. The Columbia Heights Metro station on the green line is only a few blocks away at 14th and Irving St, NW. Tickets $25 in advance, $30 at the door.
