| Earring: Notice about how Kurapika wears an earring? Don’t laugh, it’s normal. Notice that he only wears one earring on his left ear? In some cultures, especially Asian cultures, they believe that girls have both ears earrings, and boys, have their left ear pierced and wear only one earring. They also believe that for boys, everything is left, and girls, everything is right, so example, girls wear bracelets on their right arms, boys wear watches on their left arms. But of course, it’s kinda superstitious, it’s part of the ancient culture. Kurapika’s earring is basically another traditional accessory. It’s a triangular prism form, with ancient and traditional curves and patterns on the sides. Boys with one earring on left ear can be also think as a symbol of wild, or from some ancient clan. There are a lot explanations for it from different cultures, it's NOT because Kurapika's a girl, that's NOT the reason. | Those two pictures both showed that Kurapika only wears one earring on his left ear. There are more picture, if you actually look at them clearly, you'll see he only has one earring. I've always like guys with one earring, ^^;; I think it's cute, and really gives you this stand-out feeling. |
