USASA - Some information to help you live in it

This is a humourous article that gives you some idea how an organisation like the UniSA Student's Association functions. This article was published in Entropy* in 1997.
For the Recruits

This is a brief piece that was written way back in 1989. It is a satirical look at life as an Army Cadet. It's pretty old, but has aged well. One of my first published efforts. It was published in the Newsletter of Northern Districts Cadet Unit.
For the First Year Students

This is a satirical look at life within the University of South Australia. It was published in Entropy* in 1997, and I'm rather proud of it.
When Associations Falter

This is an article that was published in the USASA staff newsletter and Entropy* in 1997, and oh boy, did I take a pasting over this one! Basically I reworked it from an article about a Traveller event, and was pretty critical about the way USASA was functioning. I still think that this is pretty relevant to USASA. I actually got hate mail over this. I'll probably upload some of it later.
Galactic Empire Admits to "Some Pretty Big Mistakes"

Here's something that I wrote up after chatting with Keiron. Essentially we were wondering what an interview with the leaders of The Empire would be like after they'd just had their butts kicked again in the Star Wars film 'The Return of The Jedi'. This is what I  came up with.
Reflections of a New Nurse

Just a few thoughts that I wrote down recently when pondering the implications of being a nurse. Not overly jolly or exciting. This is more for me, trying to work through a few issues.
Counter

This is the first part of a police story. I started writing this because my friend Tracey wrote a story about a gang of killers, and I started wondering what the police were doing while her characters were running amok. Here's what I came up with.
Counter Part 2

Here is the second part of the Counter story. I haven't written anymore yet. We'll see how the story goes.
Change Your Environment Without Leaving Your Home

This was written in 1999 during a placement in a drug and alcohol detox centre. It was published in Entropy* shortly thereafter. The topic is one in which I am still trying to sort out my attitudes about. The friend mentioned in the article I eventually had to drop as she began to become disruptive to my life, and the things she told me about began to cause me emotional distress.
