Official Upperdeck USA League Tournament 2004   31st of January - March 1st, 2004    Every Half of a Year marks the end to a season, and each season has the corisponding set pack called, 'Tournament Pack Season #'. The 'Yu-Gi-Oh Upperdeck Entertainment' company decided that at the end of the year there would be a Tournament, a tournament to decide the winner of those Seasons/ Year. In doing so the USA League Tournament was created! This Tournament uses many different duels to determin one winner.

Starting with just how you get started: Joining the USA League Tournament is not the same as joining the "Duelist Kingdom League/Chapionship", this is different. To join the USA League Tournament your local Yugioh Card store first must have the "Duelist Kingdom League/Chapionship"(a store that does not have this cannot have the USA League, this is because they want people there, having the "Duelist Kingdom League/Chapionship" shows that people are there. Also as of 2004 the name of "Duelist Kingdom League/ Tournament" is no longer in use! It has changed. ) Once your store has the "Duelist Kingdom League/Chapionship" the store owner can request to get information on the USA League Tournament, a registration form is mailed later on, those that sign up are able to play in the USA League Tournament, those that don't cannot. The USA League Tournament has a special thing all duelists "MUST" meet. When you play your regular duels in the "Duelist Kingdom League/Chapionship" you get points for winning and loosing a duel, and every season a store choses the winner of that season by using these points. You "MUST" have 500 points in 4 weeks, if you do not get to the 500 points you cannot pass. Here is the point chart: Winning 1st place: 300 points 2nd-4th place: 170 points 5th-10th place: 120 points

Got the 500 Points? Once the 500 points are earned you are ready to advance! The need for you to gain points is no more!(you still are not done yet!) Once you have done all of this you are ready to duel in the big stadiums! For me I live in California and so I completed all 500 points and the tournaments didn't start untile the next 4 weeks! So In the mean time I went to a couple other tournaments for fun. There was about 3 big tournaments around my area and they were all cool with about $100.00 worth of stuff for the top winners.
