Welcome to Yu-Gi-OhAnimation Site! God Cards Background Story When Akunamon, Yami's/Atemu's father, sacrificed the souls of 99 people from the village of Kurelna (Village of Thieves) an enormous amount of backup energy was produced. The Millennium Magic Book has written in it that you would need to sacrifice 1 more soul, the 100th, pure and innocent to the Magical Fire. But the priest who performed the ritual, Priest Akunadin, brother of Akunamon, could not interpret the hieroglyphs and did not mention about the final soul. 3 days passed after the Initiation of the Millennium Items, and all seemed well. Except for that on the first day, thunder poured down from the sky. And on the second, night was day and day was night. And on the third day when the world mysteriously turned upside down. The Pharaoh thought that these were just the after-effects of the Initiation, but he was wrong. On the 4th day, 3 unstoppable beasts emerged from nowhere. The God of the sky and earth... The God of light and darkness... and the God of eternal good and evil... The 3 God Monsters... Now the new game designer for Duel Monsters in America, Maximillion J. Pegasus discovered the stone tablets of ancient dark duels on his trip to Eygpt. When he returned he decided to make his Duel Monsters game on a Collectible Card Game of these stone tablet recordings. During his trip to Eygpt he also saw and created 3 unbeatable cards based on one tablet which the Duel of Destiny was depicted. The giant tablet, the Lithograph, was created by the priest to show his friendship to his cousin, the Pharaoh, after he had mysteriously disappeared. However, above the battle, the engraving of the Millennium Puzzle was surrounded by 3 card engravings. These 3 cards were only made once and for a good reason. Only those with a millenium item could control these massive and powerful beasts... Effects
SLIFER THE SKY DRAGON Each God card can do a number of effects automatically and each are the same with each card. In 3000 BC: Slifer The Sky Dragon or Osiris the Devil Demond was one of the most feared beasts of all. Slifer/Osiris is the Egyptian God of Good and Evil. Slifers power enabels it to be good. But threw the power of Slifers second effect it can unleash a evil power unseen by anyone else. This cards power is rummored to be the only good card that can reach the hightest attack power. Slifers true meaning is that it is truthful of heart and soul. Slifer has many special abilities, but none more terrifying than it's second mouth or it's Demontic Jaw. Whenever another monster is put in front of it out of the players main phase, Slifer will automatically use it's second mouth attacking the creature with a 2000 attack hit. Slifer's power isn't in the number of creatures you have, unlike Rah' and Obelisk, but by the amount of cards you have in your hand. Because of this dangerous power the Pharoh decided to seal these creatures into stone tablets that were sealed away. Later the Priest Seto later integrated them into the lithograph. After Pegasus created the God cards, he decided to get rid of them, but two of the 3 were stolen. Slifer was among them. The Rare Hunters delivered their new cards to their master, Marik Ishtar. Marik then gave Slifer to his mind slave, Strings the Quiet One to duel with Yugi Muto. Strings summoned Slifer, and from then on, Yugi never had a chance. Until he realized Slifer's biggest weakness. Then by using Marik's own Revival Jam against him, Yugi played the ultimate combo: Revival Jam, Jam Defender, Infinite Cards, Slifer The Sky Dragon, and Brain Control. This caused Slifer to attack every time Revival Jam was revived on Yugi's side of the field, making Marik draw 3 cards. But then Revival jam would revive itself, re-beginning the cycle, making Marik draw so many cards that he could not draw any more. Win by default. Yugi then got Slifer as his card by the Ante Rule of Battle City. Yugi has used Slifer in many duels since then, but not until the card was stolen and given to Dartz. Slifers attack and Defense are: Attack: X000 / Defense : X000Effect: When the opponent's monsters are summoned on the field outside of their main phase, Slifer instantly will attack them with 2000 damage. X depends on the number of cards in your hand. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- In 3000 BC: Obelisk The Tormentor was one of the 3 most feared beasts of all time. Obelisk is the Egyptian God of Light and Darkness. By it's power, it can be dark... powering up to a state that good may not reach, by absorbing the powers of its allies... and also good, by being truthful of heart and soul... Obelisk has many special abilities, but none more terrifying than it's Direct Attack. When Obelisk is in play, he may take the souls of two of his allies and add them to his own. Obelisk will then destroy all opposing monsters and attack the opponent directly for 4000 giga-volts. But luckily, Yami, the current Pharaoh has controlled Obelisk. But then when the thief Bakura attacked, he decided that the Gods were too dangerous, and sealed their souls within the stone tablets. (Priest Seto later integrated them into the lithograph) After Pegasus created the God cards, he decided to get rid of them, but two of the 3 were stolen. Obelisk was the only one not stolen. Ishizu could it and kept it under her eye for the time being, until she invited Seto Kaiba, CEO of Kaiba Corporation to Domino Museum, where she was holding an exhibit. Ishizu told Kaiba about the Rare Hunters, and told him that he needed a card that could help. So she gave him Obelisk. Kaiba did not intend to give Obelisk back to her, but as Ishizu thought, the future was in her control. Kaiba has used Obelisk in many duels since then, dueling in the finals. But then he lost to Yugi, and lost Obelisk also. Kaiba lost his Lord of Destruction. (as he calls Obelisk) But it did not really matter, because Yugi only had Obelisk for one duel. The card was stolen and given to Dartz... but that's another story... Obelisks Card Information. Attack: 4000 / Defense: 4000 Effect: When Obelisk has been special summoned or tribute summoned to the feild Obelisk may sacrifice two more of your monsters and activate its special effect that instantly destroys all monsters and takes 4000 damages on the opponent, no matter what. Obelisk cannot attack after this has been done.-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ra's information is just like Ra's, but it is different in a few ways. Ra' is the only god that relies on other monsters threw all of it's effects. Ra's attack and defense are ????. Ra' can be tribute summoned or Special summoned, but can only be controled if the card holder chants heretic to revive him from his sealed cacoon ball. "Great beast of the sky, please hear my cry, Transform thyself from orb of light and bring me victory in this fight. Envelope the desert with your glow and cast your rage upon my foe. Unlock your powers deep within so that together we may win. Appear in this Shadow Game as I call your name... The Winged Dragon of Ra'!" When Ra' is summoned, it will emit a strange aura, and the aura will enable strange Ancient Egyptian Priesthood text to show up on the surface of the card. This is one of the things that pegasis sincluded into the card after a strange nightmare showed him the cards strange powers. There are a total of 4 special effects, but 3 are very special to Ra'. These effects can only be activated when the verse is chanted out. Ra's attack and defense are equal to the attack and defense or all 3 monsters tributed to summon Ra'. If their is no tribute then their shall be a attack of 0 unless you use Ra's effect.(Ra' can be summoned threw 1,2,3, or 4 tributes!) 1.) Certain Attack: Ra' can attack the turn it is summoned to the field by a revival card that summons him from the graveyard.2.) Whoever chants this verse, is the rightful controller of this monster. If the owner is unable to chant this verse, then this monster cannot be controlled. 3.) When summoning this monster, if the owner chants this verse, then the owner shall sacrifice all life points until only one point remains. The sacrificed total shall be added onto Ra'. 4.) Chant the third verse. Ra' shall transform into a fiery phoenix, and shall descend upon the opponent's monsters, incinerating all in its path. This is a multi attack power that destroys all... |
