Brief
History
At this point in time, little is known about Melaka. Her
nickname is Mel and she lives a very free life. She has one sister, Erin, who
is in the laws, and a brother who was killed by Icarus. She lives in the lowers
and is a runner for Gunther, meaning she steals. One might say she is a cross
between Faith and Max, from Dark Angel. She grabs, or steals, for a living and
from what we've seen, has no parents. She is called by a Watcher who then sets
himself on fire. She meets Urkonn who takes to training her. She gets kicked
out of the bar where she encounters Icarus again, in the alleyway. We find out
that he she tried to save her brother, earlier, and that she had several
injuries which healed quickly due to slayer powers. Her sister blames her for
their brother's murder. Fray manages to fight off Icarus with the help of
Urkonn. She thinks of running but then doesn't. She wants to finish him off but
she goes in search of him and is ambushed by the cops, lead by her sister. She's
arrested, but lurks attack them and she gets knocked out and taken to Icarus'
boss, who up until the end of Issue #4, we haven't had a clue as to who or what
it is. It's her brother! Did Icarus turn him? Or keep him around?

Personality
She does not like authority figures and appears to be
