*Note: Since
little is known about the first slayer, we'll use this page to collect
information we have about how the slayer came to be, based on bits and parts
from the episodes and Joss Whedon's comic book series Fray, which gives
a great retelling of how the first slayer came to be!*

Origin of Demons as per Giles "The Harvest"
"This world is older than any of you know, and contrary
to popular mythology, it did not being as a paradise. For untold eons, demons
walked the Earth, made it their home, their Hell. In time, they lost their
purchase on this reality, and the way was made for mortal animals. For Man.
What remains of the Old Ones are vestiges: certain magicks, certain creatures…
"The books tell that the last demon to leave this
reality fed off a human, mixed their blood. He was a human form possessed-
infected- by the demon's soul. He bit another and another… and so they walk the
Earth, feeding. Killing some, mixing their blood with others to make more of
their kind. Waiting for the animals to die out and the Old Ones to
return."
Origin of the Slayer as per Urkonn "Fray 3 of 8: Ready,
Steady"
"There was once a thing on this Earth called magic.
There were demons, monsters beyond imagination, most of them pure evil. They
ruled this dimension as they did so many others. Eventually, as mortal animals
evolved, under the protection of certain mages and loranities, they left! The
demons, most of them, found more hospitable [dimensions], and left the Earth to
the mortals. For the most part.
"Some remained, hidden away. Some bred within the human
community, their power weakened throughout generations. Some assimilated. And
some… infected.
"It is not known when they first appeared, but vampires
were a plague. The elders of several villages met, calling for action. They
invoked the strongest and most dangerous magicks they could summon to create a
power. A power that could fight the vampires. A power that lived in a the body
of a girl.
"She fought, and died, and was succeeded by another,
and another, throughout time. Always One. Always a woman warrior. They were
trained, sought out and guided by Watchers, descendants of the Shamans who created
the first slayer."
Demise of
the Last Slayer before Fray (Possibly Buffy) "Fray 3 of 8: Ready,
Steady"
"What we
know is this-- there was a battle. A slayer, possibly with some mystical
allies, faced an apocalyptic army of demons. And when it was done… they were
gone. All demons, all magicks, banished from this earthly dimension. I do not
know if [the slayer] lived. But, the demons being gone, she was the last to be
called."
The Demons
Came Back "Fray 3 of 8: Ready, Steady"
"The
line continued-- there were girls with the power, but they were never called,
never trained. Which may be why you have no memories of your heritage. The
Council of Watcher fell to ruin, held together only by fanatics and fools.
Those that believed the demons would return… The monsters did come back."

Disclaimer: And please note that characters resembling Buffy
& Angel characters do NOT belong to crazy evil dru by any stretch of the
imagination. They belong to 20th Century Fox, Mutant Enemy &
Joss Whedon. I’m a poor college student with nothing better to do than
fantasize about television characters, no copyright infringement is intended.
This site is strictly for my own amusement, and apparently that of others.
