One of the greatest Canadian pro wrestlers, Gene Kiniski, is staying in Japan as a witness of the Triple Crown Heavyweight Championship Tournament, October 14 - 28, 2000. Kiniski defeated Lou Thesz to win the NWA World Heavyweight title in St. Louis, Missouri on January 7, 1966, and lost it to Dory Funk Jr. in Tampa, Florida on February 11, 1969.
Stan Hansen debuted as a professional wrestler on January 1, 1973. He became one of a few present "four decade" wrestlers. He has had over 120 Japan tours since his first tour, which was from September 26 to October 30, 1975. He has just released his biography in Japan in October 2000.
Honky Tonk Man, as Wayne Ferris, came to Japan for the first time with Abdullah the Butcher, Jack Brisco, Bruiser Brody, Killer Tim Brooks, and The Avenger (Moose Morowski), from March 27 to April 30, 1981. Since then, he hadn't had an opportunity to come to Japan for over 19 years. Finally, he came back to Japan. A young southern wrestler became an old hand veteran who knows the ropes.
