I guess this page should really be about me, not my troops, so here goes nothing.....

Some of my best memories of my childhood revolve around the huge GI Joe collection that I had as a kid.  I must of had hundreds of the small action figures and every vehicle, plane, and helicopter that they made.  I remember setting up these huge war scenes in the back yard with my friends and the countless hours we spent playing with them.  Over the years, I got older and got into other things and eventually had to get a full time job, so my interest in Joe's faded.

Sometime last year,  my son and I were hanging out in the local toy store, and ran across 21st Century's line of toys and it completely fascinated both of us, and my passion for Joe's was revived.  We picked up a few, and took them home to play with them, and at the time I was pretty happy with just the ones we bought.

I remember looking online to see if I could find the 1:6 scale figures for the game Rainbow Six that my son and I both played, and I ran across a website called Brigade HQ.  After much research and a few emails, my small group of men became part of the USDOC ( United States Department of Counter-Terrorism).

It is so cool to sit back and play with my Unit with my son, TJ,  and enjoy one of my favorite past times, and hobbies with him.  I would give anything to have all the men and equipment from my childhood, but you know they say hind sight is 20/20.  Hopefully, our Unit will grow and grow, and one day when I am long gone, TJ will hand down my Joe's to his children and pass on the passion that he and I now share.

Thanks for visiting my site, and please, if you have a passion for collecting 1:6 figures, take time out of your busy lives and enjoy them.  I think its great that at the age of 32, I can still come home and play with my Toys, just like when I was a kid.
