WELCOME Hi, Thank you for visiting my website dedicated to my unit of the most awesome 1/6 group in existence, FLASH FORCE!! My unit is the 285th Unit, also known as SODVGRU, which stands for Special Operations Developmental Group. We are located in North Carolina, on the coast. As of this update, my unit has been in existence for exactly one year, and I am very happy to announce that we have out grown our "War Room" many times over. We now have multiple means of Air Support, ATV's, Water Support, and a large motor pool made up of Several Hummers, Jeeps, and custom vehicles. The thoughts behind SODVGRU, were to have a unit within Flash Force which cross trains with members of Elite Units such as, but not limited to the Navy SEALS, US Army Delta, Green Berets, Rangers, Germany's GSG 9, Britians SAS, and Hong Kong's SDU just to name a few. After a year, we are proud to have one fully deployable 16 man Crisis Response Team, One 4 man Heavy Weapons Team, One 8 man Intel Team, One 2 man Covert Espionage Team, One 4 man Recon Team, One 2 man Tactical Med Team, and also a number of Undercover operatives. To add to this force, we have the following stationed at Area 13, Camp Wilson fully capable and ready to deploy: One 12 man -1st Special Forces Operational Detachment Delta team (CAG), One 3 man - 3rd Special Forces Operational Detachment Alpha Team (Green Berets), One 5 man - 75th Battalion Airborne Rangers team, One two man - SEAL Team 6 team (DEVGRU), One two man Hong Kong Special Duties Unit (SDU) team, One member of the US Marines Force Recon, and Two members of the CIA, and also we have a three star General stationed on our post. NEWS Its been a long time since I have had the time to sit down and work on my website, much less my troops, like so many of us, our 1:1 jobs and responsibilities require more and more time leaving us with less time for our hobbies. However, there are new things in the air for the 285th. I am very proud to have been appointed as the Special Unit Leader of the ISOC's brand new Forensic Technology Unit, and equally as proud to have Commander Mike Davis of Flash 296 helping every step of the way to put this new unit together. Iraqi Freedom..... please, lets all take time to remember the soldiers that are over seas waging this battle to rid the world of this evil tyrant in Saddam Hussein. Please remember, soldiers do not make war, politicians do! These soldiers need your love, support, thoughts and prayers whether you are a supporter of the cause or not. If you are pissed off about the war, its not the soldiers fault, pick up a pen and write your congressman, senators, governors, or even the president, and let them know your negative feelings, not the soldiers!!
