Furthest From played an important role in the fall of the Establishment and holds a major place in the history of the saga.
Furthest From is located in the middle to outer rim. It is only a days travel from Alcazar, which became the Confederates base of operations.
The Establishment hid on Furthest From for well over a decade, building an army for the single purpose of destroying the Confederacy and ruling the galaxy.
The intergalatic banking corporation joined the Establishment on the planet in order to join both their armies so that they would have the finest army ever seen.
Learning of a possible strike uncovered by the Java, the Confederacy launched a counter-strike on the planet. The Java Knights too helped out and fought in the execution arena saving 3 of their own, but losing many many more.
It marked the beginning of the Shadow Wars and the end of the reign of Emperor Sanitarium. The war lasted over 4 years.
The planet itself has some of the most wonderus beaches and highest mountains in the galaxy. The mountains concealed the huge army of the Establishment and the beaches became a fortess that would take some cunning tactics to break.
Surprisingly, Furthest From wasnt heavily populated, with only a small spaceport the only contact with the outer world. This and its location close to Alcazar made it ideal for Sanitarium and the Establishment.
When the Confederate dropships began landing soldiers on Apollo beach, the Shadow War had completely started. They took the beach-head on that first day and slowly but surely they defeated the Hurricane Troopers and banking Clones.
The Java joined their forces on many special tasks. The Java were often present during intense battle scenes which resulted in many deaths and many victories. As the war drew to a close the RRM and Java took part in some fierce street fighting and jungle warfare. Eventually the Establishment army surrendered.
It was in a mountain hanger that Darf Bald faced off with Thomas J. Nightmare for the first time and looked to be defeated until he got away by putting Nightmare's son in danger.
Furthest From is now a memorial of the Shadow War and Apollo beach has the holographic graves of the fallen heroes.
The Shadow Wars are now commonly studied throughout the galaxy and are tought to show want war and conflict can result in. |
