Thomas J. Nightmare has been the most influental character of the Space Worz series. He began training as a pilot at the age of 5 and had left Tantive at 15 to join the Confederacy during the times of the Former Republic. He returned 5 years later to find his parents had been murdered by Large Banker after the fall of the Republic. It was then he was found by Bruce Skychannel Java Master. Skychannel offered to train him to be a Java Knight as the Council felt he was the Last Hope for the galaxy. When he first joined the Confederate fleet he was quickly recongized as a great pilot maybe the greatest ever. He skills developed quickly suggesting he was high in the Forz. It was quickly that Skychannel was able to train Thomas to use the Forz and the Laz-Sword the weapon of the Java, and now is the greatest swordsmen in the galaxy. At 20 Nightmare hold's the hopes and dreams of an entire galaxy. As a Java Knight Nightmare has followed a responsible path although the hatred inside him to seek revenge for his parents death has always raged he has been able to remain on the Light Side of the Forz and hasn't given into the temptation of the Dark Forz. Strongly influened by other Java masters as well as his master, Nightmare is less cautious than his master which gets the young Haako into trouble on many occassions. However he is careful to weigh up his options of his actions and doesn't try to entangle himself in transgessions against the will of the High Council. Nightmare strives to be worthy of his order and feels honoured to be Skychannel's apprentice, but sometimes worries about his masters defiance of the Council. However as he grows he develops an independent spirit of his own. Nightmare is an exceptional Laz-Sword duelist and a formidable opponent for Darf Bald, the Pith Lord who fights with inhuman intensity, fuelled by the hateful energy of the darkside of the Forz. In the heat of mortal kombat and on the brink of death against Bald Nightmare is tempted to draw on the same terrible strengths in order to defeat Bald. Weaponary: SM-37 Kinosynethetic Blaster Laz-Sword Gadgets/Powers: Internal communicator implanted directly into his vocal chords Becomes whatever he touches Morphing Knows his enemies moves in combat. However against a Pith Lord he is unable to detect the moves as easily. Highly trained in many forms of combat and becomes one of the Rebels most innovative leaders, when the far of the Establishment comes around. However Nightmare never sees the forming of the New Republic after being mortally wounded by Darf Bald. His death has been shown as an example of courage and hope for the New Republic. His bravey and skills are shown off during many of the encounters he has with the many enemies of the Rebels. Such is the Wee Wond showdown with Large Banker and the Establishment attack on the secret Rebel base and the Battle of Toshi. On Duodena Thomas J. meets the handmaiden of Princess Lilo, Kari Wuhrer. It is at this time he falls in love with her and they part ways when Nightmare goes off to rescue Princess Lilo, however when he returns he shares a brief moment with her until they are torn apart by the Establishment once more. Kari is taken away with her last image of Nightmare lying lifeless in the dirt. Nightmare's child, Ewan is born and is rescued by Ben Karoke on the 1st Death Cigar. Nightmare returns in Episode 5 and fights the Establishment once more. He rescues his son from the clutches of a bounty hunter that is attempting to assassinate the Princess. He joins, his son and former master to fight in the epic Shadow Wars against millions of Establishment Hurricane Troopers. He joins his former master and the other Java Knights in helping destroy Sanitarium and the Establishment restoring peace to the galaxy, and bringing balance to the Forz. Sadly Thomas J. wasn't there to see the new Republic form, but his legacy carried on His legend still lives on to this very day. Thomas J. Nightmare is a popular file in the Java records, and many of the present masters use him as an example of a true Java Knight. |
