Master Skychannel is an experienced Java Knight that has proven his value to leadership to the Java order is many important missions and negotiations. In his maturity, however he remains as restless as in his youth.
Bruce has risen to great prominence within the Java order, and is well-known to the members of the Java Council. Yet is spite of his outstanding service as a Java Knight and Master, Bruce has been overlooked on many occasions for a seat on the Council.
Bruce earned the rank of Master after he trainied his first Haako apprentice to Knighthood. However his second failed when he turned to the Darkside of the Forz. Bruce never gave up on his apprentice and attempted on many occasions to turn him back to the Brightside of the Forz. Finally his apprentice turned good, but in an encounter that involved Emperor Sanitarium using the alias Darf Anor. It was then that the Emperor destroyed Jacen, and almost Bruce too. Bruce was able to escape the Pith Lord but held a grudge against the Pith Lord, and until now he never was able to find out who that Pith Lord was.
Thomas J. Nightmare is now Skychannel's third Haako apprentice and a worth student of his wisdom and skill. Skychannel went on a quest to find Nightmare on Tantive after Nightmare's parents were destroyed by Large Banker. He offered to train Nightmare although he was past the age limit of a Haako apprentice. Skychannel tuned Nightmare's skills so that he was able to defeat Large Banker and pass the Council's tests.
Greed political scheming are weakening the Pioneer Senate that Bruce Skychannel serves.
In an attempt to restore lasting peace and defeat the Establishment and security to the galaxy. Bruce is motivated to join with the Confederacy and take a more active role than traditionally taken by a Java.
When he witnesses the death of his Haako apprentice on Duodena, he fears the worst for the galaxy. However in a bold attack the Confederates rescue hand maiden Kari Wuhrer and her son Ewan Nightmare, who Bruce takes on as his new and fourth apprentice.
For 10 years he trains young Ewan to become a Java as powerful as his father. Suddenly Thomas J. Nightmare returns to the scene, and they all fight in the Shadow Wars against the Hurricane Troopers.
Before the war Bruce travelled to Tantive to capture Bib McCool who was reportably behind the attacks on Princess Lilo. With the help of Obo-jon and Spurr they bring down the crime syndicate of Zuckuss Rebo, but the bounty hunter gets away.
He has battled the Establishment on many occasions and is present when when the Emperor is destroyed by Skychannel himself. It is when Nightmare's life is threatened by the Emperor.
Skychannel who is against the use of blasters and other weapons apart from the Laz-Sword, he destroys Sanitarium with Nightmare's blaster finishing the control of the Establishment in the galaxy.
However the bond Skychannel had made with his former Haako ended when Nightmare finally died after being mortally wounded by Darf Bald and defeating him.
Bruce after the burial of Nightmare took a lead role in the New Republic being the ambassador to many of the worlds that were torn apart from the Pioneer Wars. He brought them back to the Senate once more restoring peace and security to the galaxy. He still fought off any threat to the galaxy which included many Pith Lords.
Bruce finally died at the age of 75, and has been recongized by the Council as the most outstanding Java Knight of his time. |
