Senator Ryyder is the senator for the League Alliance. Ryyder holds a high position in the senate which sometimes affects the running of his own system, and more often than not Passel is neglected.
However still one of the last few true senators that hasn't been affected by corruption or an attitude of "I just don't care".
Endless patience has been Ryyder's key to success in the Pioneer Senate.
Ryyder has risen through the ranks, beginning as a senators aid to becoming the Senator of the Passel system in the outer rim. He now attains the honoured and powerful position of sectorial representative of the backwater sector. He now represents some 30 systems which is home of Passel is typical.
During the final days of the Senate he tries to hold onto unity, in a vain attempt to stop the galaxy from going to civil war. However when Sanitarium was elected to Nabob and he seized total control, the Senate became disbanded and was destroyed. One of a lucky few Ryyder was able to escape Pasim moments before it was destroyed, by the Death Cigar.
He journeyed back to Passel only to find a system in ruins as Passel was the first place the Establishment War Machine struck.
He then rushed to the Black Label system with as many reinforcements as he could muster in an attempt to defeat the huge army of Hurricane Troopers and ATE-WT's. For months he lead the combined army and held off the Establishment at the Battle of Supreme. It would end up being the final battle of the Pioneer Wars which had lasted 4 terrible years at this stage.
With the help of other senators they held off the Establishment long enough to give the Confederacy who had feared war for months time to prepare.
Ryyder eventually realised that their number was up and he died when Label 1 was destroyed by the Death Cigar, signalling an end to the Pioneer Wars and the beginnings of the Shadow years.
When Sanitarium was defeated at Gnome and the 2nd Death Cigar was destroyed, Senator Ryyder's death was honoured and a statute of him is placed outside the new Senate. |
