MY DEAR PRESIDENT BUSH:

I WANT TO START BY SAYING
YOU SHOULD BE MOST GRATEFUL FOR
THE SACRIFICE US MOTHER'S HAVE MADE.
TO YOU AND OUR COUNTRY

A GREAT GIFT…
NOT JUST OUR VOTE, BUT OUR REASON FOR LIVING
WE BEQUEATHED THESE SONS AND DAUGHTERS OF OUR.
THEY ARE OUR CHOICES TREASURES.
THEY ARE THE CREAM OF THE CROP
DOES THAT SEEM HARD TO BELIEVE?
THAT WE COULD BE SO GENEROUS
AS TO GIVE ALL THIS?

WELL, WE HAVE.
WE HAVE GIVEN YOU OUR SONS AND DAUGHTERS!
DEAR PRESIDENT BUSH,
WE DIDN'T DO ALL THIS WITHOUT EXPECTING
A FAVOR IN RETURN.

WE WANT YOU TO TELL THEM SOMETHING FOR US.
WILL YOU?
TELL THEM WE ARE
BEAMING WITH PRIDE,
BURSTING WITH LOVE
FILLED WITH HAPPINESS…

BECAUSE OUR SONS AND DAUGHTERS ARE DEFENDING
THEIR COUNTRY,
THEIR PEOPLE,
AND THEIR FREEDOM

YES, PRESIDENT BUSH,
OUR SONS AND DAUGHTERS' ARE
UNITED STATES MARINES , NAVY, ARMY AND AIRFORCE
AND NOW, BEFORE CLOSING,
JUST ONE LAST FAVOR…

TELLTHEM WE LOVE THEM VERY MUCH,
MORE THEN LIFE ITSELF AND
THAT EVERY DAY THAT THEY ARE IN HARMS WAY.
OUR PRAYER ARE FOR THEM

OH, PRESIDENT BUSH
BEFORE I FORGET.
TELL THEM TO WRITE HOME.
THEIR LETTERS ARE WORTH
MORE THEN ALL THE GOLD
IN THE WORLD TO US

I KNOW YOU MAY NEVER READ THIS LETTER
BUT IT MADE ME FEEL GOOD TO WRITE IT

ENDURING FREEDOM

February 15, 2002
BRAWLEY – Two Camp Pendleton Marines were killed in a military helicopter crash in the Chocolate Mountain Range, the second fatal accident during training for Marines from the base in less than two weeks, officials said Friday. A UH-1N Huey helicopter went down about 11 p.m. Thursday just west of Mount Barrow, near the California-Arizona border, said Capt. Tanya Murnock of the Marine Corps Air Station in Yuma, Ariz. Two Marines were injured in the crash, the cause of which was under investigation. Officials from Camp Pendleton identified the dead as the pilot, Capt. Theodore S. Treadwell, 29, of Phoenix, and Staff Sgt. Roderick D. Nesmith, 30, of Cortez, Colo., the aircraft's crew chief

February 18, 2002 TWENTYNINE PALMS
– A two-seat fighter jet from South Carolina crashed during landing Sunday at the Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center, killing one Marine and injuring another, a Marine Corps spokeswoman said. It was the third deadly training accident in California in 12 days. The crash took place shortly after 2 p.m. at the combat center's airfield, said Capt. Teresa Ovalle. Both the pilot and weapon systems officer ejected from the F/A-18D Hornet from Marine Corps Air Station, Beaufort, S.C., she said. Capt. James B. Blackmon Jr., 32, died of a heart attack at 5:50 p.m. at Desert Regional Medical Center in Palm Springs after suffering injuries to his head and internal organs, said Stephanie D. Stratton, an administrative nursing supervisor. Blackmon, a native of Lexington, Ky., was a weapon systems officer with Marine All-Weather Fighter Attack Squadron 533.
