This unit should be spread out over a 6- to 8-week period. You should prepare a time-line or due date schedule that is appropriate for your students. Keep in mind that students need time in class to work on group work and make their presentations to the class. This unit was prepared without time or length parameters assigned. You should assign appropriate parameters for your class time allotments and students abilities. Task 1 -- Research and Essay -- allow 1 ½ to 2 weeks (three to four class periods) Task 2 -- Interviews and Group Chart -- allow 1 ½ to 2 weeks Task 3 -- Group Draft and Presentation -- allow 2 to 3 weeks. Task 4 -- Reflection and Evaluation -- Evaluations should be completed immediately after each presentation has been presented to the class. Task 4 should be finished by the end of the final class period. |
