 ..... PHRAE-WA , FABRIC WEAVING GROUP IS NORMALLY  MADE BY BY GROUP OF PEOPLE WHO RESIDE BY AMPHOE KHAM MOUNG OF KALASIN PROVINCE WHERE THEY PRODUCE " PHRAE-WA " A FAMOUS SILK WEAVING STYLE.

 ..... Phrae-wa ,  fabric  weaving group is normally made by group of  people who reside by Amphoe Kham  Moung  of Kalasin province  where they  produce  " Phrae-wa " a  famouse silk weaving style.

....Mud-mee weaving style , the raw materials were be used for weaving such as silk or cotton, This woven has been dyeing process by which the silk threads were tied in the desirable  patterns before dyeing.

.....Khid weaving style , the  special technique of weaving by scatching . Weaving  was be used the reel hook to pick up the weft yarn and then insert the shuttle under them from one side to another along the warp yarn direction , local called " khid " . This will result in a variety of designing patterns.

.....Tin-jok weaving style , this weaving style is a technique to do stitching as weaving. The fabric is woven with pre-designed patterns by adding special weft yarns along the width direction of the fabric at designed intervals , by using a wooden reel hook ( a wooden quill ) , for example , to do stitching with silk yarn and cotton yarn combined to make a desirable patterns.

 .....Yok-muk or lai-muk weaving style  , this weaving style is a technique to do emboss printing on the fabrics which was designed  in gem-colored shape favorably. Weaving by using the reel hook to pick up the warp yarns and added the special yarns to design in patterns.

A natural and organic dye for fabrics have been used for dyeing such as the heart of the tree , leaves , bark , frower , skin , fruit , root and etc . A natural dye for fabrics which its made from red cotton tree bark give a pink to orange color , mango bark give a light to pink color , irvingiaceae bark give a yellow color. These are resources of different colors and also a types of vegetable dye formerly were used to give color as well as fragrance to cotton yarn.

.....Hand-woven fabric is a folk art and has been widly known in Thailand for a long time. Villagers particularly females , will used their spare time after the harvest season to weave cloth for using by the family , and in annual religious ceremonies. The majority of designing patterns appearing on silk and cotton fabrics were influenced by geographical environment , and skills that has been handed down from generation to generation within each local , heritage and tradition of the ethnic minority groups in Thailand such as Whit-Thai , Laos , Karen , Khmer , Mon , Kha , Suay , Thailue , Thai yuan-Lanna , Thaipuan , Thaisuo , Thaisong , Phuthai and Renu's Phuthai etc.

Comparative History of Civilization in patterned designs------Step-By-Step Development of the Ancient designs of Thailand
6th-10th-Centuries Native-Thai patterned designs [ Pre-dvaravati : The Earliest kingdom of Siam ]
The earliest appearance of the design , dating from the death of the Buddha , 543 years before Christ ; the year of the Lord Buddha , is the peafowl-etched comb design in Ka-nok pattern , which a characteristic Thai design in decorative art resembling tongues of frame and also included coupled horse designs about 2,400 years ago in Pre-Dvaravati , what is now Junsen's Nakhon Sawan . [ Bronson and Dales 1968 ] . The scholars speculated that the ancestors of the Thai wove such peafowl designs on their cloth in Pre-historic times and that design was passed down as the various tribes originated and dispersed so that the peafowl is seen on fabrics of many Thai peoples. Archaeological remnants of stupa , chedi , Bhuddha images and other Buddhist symbols like boundary markers . These designs shown which the spread of Buddhism to this region of Thailand .

11th-15th-centuries Native-Thai patterned designs [ Dvaravati ]
The earliest apperance of the design , is geometric shapes and kan-kot [ the stem of a leaf or a flower design in curve with concoildal-look ] upon painted brick " stone carving " of the Dvaravati provenance found at Prasart U thong in Supanburi and Chedi " Pagoda " Junprathon in Nakhon Phathom can also be found [ Chomphunut 2512 ] . Dvaravati period sema boundary stone " the temple stone leaves " with 8- petalled lotus was aternated with rhombic designs found in Nakhon Phathom . [ G.Coedes 2501 ] . The other floral designs , shown in upside-down lotuses , Kan-kot and Dvaravati-Period silver coin with 8- petalled flower design found at Baan Promthin in Lopburi province [ Phummathon 1984 ] . The 8 - petalled flower has been interpreted by scholar to symbolize the escape or liberation afforded by the Noble Eightfold Path of Buddhism . A variety of patterns , have a prominet Dvaravati-style floral designs such as Kan-kot , kreeb-bua[ lotus's petal ] , Rak-roid [ a black varnish tree ] , kan-to-dok [ the design consisting of many floral bouquets in the same axial plane ] , kra-nok-plew [ a tongue of flame , a flame design in roll ] , met-bua [ a seed of lotus ] , bua-ban- 8 kreeb [ blossomy 8-petalled lotus ] , pra-jaom-yam-dok-mai [ circular 4-petalled lotus with bright star take center stage ] , the 8 - petalled flower etc.
animal designs such as elephant , singha [ leo , lion's roar , great lion ] , tiger , garuda , peafowl , kin-non [ a race of beings , half-bird half-human , the female of the species being called Ginaree ] , no-ra-singha [ a lionhearted man , a great warrior ] , kon-thun [ a member of a race of musicians in heavens , a lover of Kaki ] , swan .

16th-18th-centuries Native-Thai patterned designs [ Pre-Sukhothai------> Uthong -Suwannaphum-Lopburi-Ayothaya ]
The Pre-Sukhothai Period was preceded by the U Thong , Suwannaphum , Lopburi , and finally by the Ayothaya Period in the sixteenth centuries , during a state which art florishing in regions , and all floral designs were refined such as the phi-kul design which petals delicate and tapering or arranged in two layers , as seen on a sandstone sema boundery marker of Ayothaya period at Wat Sing in Ayutthaya , also were found lai-kria with floral curves take center stage which were being developed in late Ayutthaya period called kra-nok-plew [ tongue of flame of kna-nok design in roll ] and the 3-layer kra-nok [ Paknam 1981 , Sema ; battlements ; heart-shaped stones marking the limits of a Buddhist tenple , a heart-shaped pendant ] . It is also a wonderful patterns for seeing such as Lopburi Period sema boundary stone with horizontal-patterned dok-jan designs at Wat Bang Nang Li in Ratchaburi , Ayothaya Period sema boundary stone with dok-jan was alternated with the large-scale floral and also includes coupled ka-nok designs at Wat Song Phee Nong in Suphanburi [ ka-nok ; Thai design consisting of double curves ] , Ayothaya Period sema boudary stone with 6- petalled flower at Wat Lum Din in Ratchaburi . Their favorite things-animals in these designs such as nok-kab [ classic bird which holds somthing in the mouth such as bright star ] , goat , thep-pha-nom [ the figure of a deva clasping hands in token of workship , the deva image who put the hands together in salute ] , fret design consisting of intersection ........Floral designs such as lai-pra-jum-yam [ the floral design consisting of circular 4-petalled lotuses with bright star take center stage ] , dok-jan [ blossumy 4-peatalled flower design in floral carvings ] , 4 - petalled flower , 6 - petalled flower , phi-kul [ the floral design consisting of circular 6- to 8-petalled flowers in scatters or in clusters ] , dok-kho-soi [ Remark
; the horizontal line which curved or bent sharply in the end called kho or lai-kho , but those the S-shaped lenght design . It is called kho-buay or long hook . As it might be called kho-lek-sam which looks like the figure 3 ] , tra-kho-long-ko [ the track a trail of quinea pig's paws , design in curved paths or the meandering of rivers " namental linear pattern " , the former design alternately consisting of country cottages and curved paths of quinea pig's paws . It is called Ta-pao-Long-ko . While these the meandering of river where the junk passes through on its way , it also called Ta-pao-Long-ko . But those the former design alternately consisting of hooks [ kho ] and curved paths or meandering of rivers , it is called Tra-kho-Long-ko ] , cone in cone structure " Kruay cheong " , pheang [ festoons , to boom , to proper , to thrive , to be in clover found at wat Juramani in Pitsanulok ] , kra-jang ta-oy [ a segment of the many-jointed stem of a sugarcane ] .

19th-20th-Centuries Native-Thai patterned designs [ Sukhothai Period . .....Original of silk yok-dok design in fabrics . While those Thai design alternately consisiting of kria-thao and other shapes . As already mentioned , in the North and Northeast , it known as
" lai-kria " design " was alternated with other shapes were very favor. [ The former design in dendritic to sub-dendritic , espalier , grapevine , trellis , angulate , annular or radial patterns , which looks like the slender stem of a climbing plant . It is called kria-thao or lai-kria design ]
.....It is in the Sukhothai period , that design appears on fabrics with elegance quilts of 19th-20th-centeries Native-Thai floral designs , such as ------> lai-pra-jam-yam [ the floral design consisting of circular 4 -petalled lotuses with bright star take center stage ] , the floral design consisting of 6 - petalled flowers in scatters or in cluster , the design alternately consisting of luk-kaeo-kan-yaengs and met-pra-kams [ the former design alternately consisting of bright stars and a string of breads , a rosary , a chaplet , a rope of pearls or stone ] , the 4 - petalled flower , kho [ the horizontal line which curved or bent sharply in the end called kho or lai-kho , but those the S-shaped lenght design . It is called kho-buay or long hook . As it might be called kho-lek-sam which looks like the figure 3 ] , dok-bua [ lotus ] , kap-bua [ lotus's bark or cross-section of lotus ] , lai-khun [ the horizontal-patterned design alternately consisting of florals , animals and materials ] , kan-kot [ the stem of a leaf or a flower design in curve ] , dok-mai [ flower ] , leaf , dok-jok [ water lettuce ] , kan-yaeng [ the slender stem of a vine or climbing design in scatters ], kra-jang [ kra-jang developed from lai-pheang into a design used in carving , consisting of leaves arranged in the shape of two out-stretched arms ; a cornice-like structure with such decorative design on wooden furniture ] , met-pra-kam [ a string of beads , a rope of peals or stones ] , fuk [ a gourd , a squash , a pumpkin design , usually , with a circular 4-petalled lotus inside found at Wat Sra Bua in Petchaburi ] .......Animal designs such as bird , fish , kon-lang-kom [ the humpbacked image ] , swan , peafowl , naga , singha , [ a fabulous animal having a lion's body and an elephant's trunk ] , dragon , nok-kab , fish , bird ......Geometric-shaped designs such as thep-phanom .


20th-24th-Centuries native-Thai patterned designs [ Ayutthaya Period ]
.....An early Ayutthaya-Period Native-Thai patterned design in fabrics with former design alternately consisting of any shapes and classic kria-thao . Shown in dendritic to sub-dendritic , espalier , grapevine , trellis , angulate , annular or radial patterns , which looks like the slender stem of a climbing plant . It is called kria-thao or lai-kria . The very famous of designing patterns in Northeast , which has been interpreted by scholars to symbolize the extreme power and penetrating of the King , such as the patterns which uses by King Asakan in ramayana . Designs were certainly not found with lai-kria on the fabrics in the late Ayutthaya Period . For those interested in quilting such florals , animals or materials and step-by-step developments of patterned designs were very favor .

An ancient design woven on the fabrics.----->The patterned stucture design consisting of upside-dow kga-jung bai-theds [ one type of leaf ] with lotus take center stage , what is called Phum-Kaw-Bin ] ........Geometric-shaped designs such as 1-layer kruay-choeng , 2-layer kruay-choeng , 3-layer kruay-choeng [ cone-in-cone structure ? ] , kaew-ching-duang [ hexagonal crytal of quartz design in connecting shapes . Usually , the design alternately consisting of lai-pra-jam-yarm " the circular 4-petalled lotus " and lai-luk-so " rhombic- blocked design in connecting shapes which looks like the chain's structure "] were very favor , kem-kab , kom [ floating lamp ] , kria-thao , ta-kai-ta-yaeng-thaew-si-lium [ the rhombic-block patterns ] , pra-jam-yam [ the design consiting of circular 4-petalled lotus with bright star take center stage in scatters or clusters ] , pra-ja-yam-kam-pu [ the design alternately consisting of circular 4-petalled lotus with bright star take center stag and the craws of crabs ] , ratchawat [ the former design alternately consisting of the 4-petalled flowers which looks like square in shapes and the 4-petalled flowers which looks like rhombic in shapes ] , ruiw [ floliated structure or alternate bands of X , Y , Z . For examples ; X =Type of florals , Y = Type of animals , and Z = Type of materials ] , wanfa , sai-sang-wan . Especially the phum-khao-bin [ Real or wax flowers arranged in the form of a bush , Sukhothai architecture traditionally called Phum Khao Bin ] . A fabric sample such as the design alternately consisting of thep-pha-noms , kan-yaengs and garudas , quilts shown in fabric body , but those the bottom edge with former design alternately consisting of nagas , kan-kots and thep-pha-noms , which were taken by The King Krung Thon Buri in the past .
