 ..... PHRAE-WA , FABRIC WEAVING GROUP IS NORMALLY  MADE BY BY GROUP OF PEOPLE WHO RESIDE BY AMPHOE KHAM MOUNG OF KALASIN PROVINCE WHERE THEY PRODUCE " PHRAE-WA " A FAMOUS SILK WEAVING STYLE.

 ..... Phrae-wa ,  fabric  weaving group is normally made by group of  people who reside by Amphoe Kham  Moung  of Kalasin province  where they  produce  " Phrae-wa " a  famouse silk weaving style.

....Mud-mee weaving style , the raw materials were be used for weaving such as silk or cotton, This woven has been dyeing process by which the silk threads were tied in the desirable  patterns before dyeing.

.....Khid weaving style , the  special technique of weaving by scatching . Weaving  was be used the reel hook to pick up the weft yarn and then insert the shuttle under them from one side to another along the warp yarn direction , local called " khid " . This will result in a variety of designing patterns.

.....Tin-jok weaving style , this weaving style is a technique to do stitching as weaving. The fabric is woven with pre-designed patterns by adding special weft yarns along the width direction of the fabric at designed intervals , by using a wooden reel hook ( a wooden quill ) , for example , to do stitching with silk yarn and cotton yarn combined to make a desirable patterns.

 .....Yok-muk or lai-muk weaving style  , this weaving style is a technique to do emboss printing on the fabrics which was designed  in gem-colored shape favorably. Weaving by using the reel hook to pick up the warp yarns and added the special yarns to design in patterns.

A natural and organic dye for fabrics have been used for dyeing such as the heart of the tree , leaves , bark , frower , skin , fruit , root and etc . A natural dye for fabrics which its made from red cotton tree bark give a pink to orange color , mango bark give a light to pink color , irvingiaceae bark give a yellow color. These are resources of different colors and also a types of vegetable dye formerly were used to give color as well as fragrance to cotton yarn.

About Tin-jok Detail .....Tin-jok , this weaving style has been woven since a long time to centeries in several groups of Siam of the principalities of what is now northern , northeastern and central Thailand. The technique to do stitching , as tin-jok were differently designed each local which was following in the heritages , traditional ways , especially whose Thaipuan , Thaiyuan , Phuthai , Laokrang , Thai-Lao , the ethnic minority groups. In fact , there may be seen in a several of designing techniques such as . Thai-Lao gold-silver brocade tin-jok design , Thaipuan and/or Phuthai stripe-patterned was alternated with the slightly wavy-line tin-jok designs [ the slightly wavy-line design , the Northeastern called the aie pattern design which the former design in the small- to medium-scale shapes at the bottom edge of mud-mee and khid patterned fabrics favorably. ] , Renu's Phuthai crosswise-line&multicolored tin-jok designs , Laokrang rough mud-mee with tin-jok at the bottom edge design , Thaiyuan crosswise-line was alternated with the slightly wavy-line tin-jok designs and etc. The names usually called by following the majority of designing patterns such as Phuthai stripe-patterned tin-jok silk with ta-bung design " was alternated with kha-khe design , Uthai thani crosswise-line&multicoloered with kho-kam-dean tin-jok designs [ The former design alternately consisting of an asteroids and a hooks . Shown in old White-Thai classic-style design ] and etc.

His life and nations Detail ..... a descendant of the Laos race , who is migrated to Thailand in early Ratanakosin periods. They are living in the central of Thailand such as Chai Nat , Supanburi , Uthai Thani , Phichit province. [ very famous for " Pha sin tin-jok " , a skirtlike dress which the Laokrang mud-mee with tin-jok at the bottom edge design . Old Laokrang classical design , hand-woven fabric. ]
..... Bigining in B.E.2347 , the regnal year of King Rama 1 , His majesty King Phra Buddha Yodfa . By the King's remak , Laokrang ancestors in North and Norteast were migrated to central Thailand for 200 years ago , what is now Uthai Thani , Chainat provinces such as Baan TubTan , Tub Klai , Tub Luang , Amphur Baan Rai of Uthai Thani province and Bann Noen Kam , Taam Bon Kut Jok , Baan Kut Jok , Amphur Hun Ka of Chainat province . The scholars speculated that ancestors of the Laokrang wove such florals , animals and materials on their cloth in that times and the designs were passed down as the descendants . Such as the chuck of a lathe , cross-section of areca palm , " Mark-Huey " , integument of a whirligig " Peek-Maeng-Heang ", horse , hook " kho " , goldenrod , slightly wavy-line " aie " , cross-section of such florals or floral barks " lai-kab ", hen's wing , star , bird , kho was alternated with floral baks , 3-layer floral barks , ta-leo " cha-leo " , kho was alternated with bell , swan , kria , floating lamp and etc.

.....Back to the present day . The villages in Uthai Thani and Chainat provinces whose is the descendants still dwell as their ancestors did in part which evidenced through their language , clothing , weaving. Especially the woven technique was a local heritage which has been handed down from the genaration to genaration. All of them were skilled in weaving for mud-mee with tin-jok at the bottom edge designs . Their traditional Laokrang-ear
ly symbol was very classic with the excellent designs . These sources are regarded of production for mud-mee with tin-jok silk designs which one in six types of Thai classical woven fabric .

Country classic-style designs Detail .....A woven fabrics was be wove by its weaving styles " mud-mee with tin-jok silk designs " . The traditonal Laokrang-early symbols shown , which country classic-style design . In Thaifabric magazine's article showed that the fabric sample which one was designed in mud-mee with tin-jok at the bottom edge , a natural dye for fabric. The very famouse of its hand-woven silk. The natural or organic dye for fabrics have been used for dyeing such as the heart of the tree , leaf , bark , flower, skin , fruit , root and etc. Each organics dye are resources of different colors. Then the products are without result harmfully. Unless the by products were being used for fertilizer. And also synthetic dye for fabrics was be used as well.

>> A summary process of the weaving as follows :
[ 1 ]. Bleaching
[ 2 ]. Spinning The technique to do spinning silk thread by local spinner [ We used the local hand-made style ] or the modern silk gin as well.

[ 5 ]. Dyeing
[ 6 ]. Painting

[ 8 ]. Weaving ; Silk yarn was being wove by a raw materials in the local which the local people called Ki or Hook for weaving.

.....Weaving style which fabric body was be wove in grey to greyish brown or reddish brown-colored with designing patterns in yellow, green and purple colors . Designs shown in rough texture mud-mee . [ Rough texture mud-mee design in weaving of many sources were very favor but differently in patterned details which were following each local , heritage , traditional way and etc . ] .....The structure of mud-mee patterns on the fabric body are mainly showed in striped pattern called mee-khun , floral and animal designs called mee-rod , mud-mee was alternated with khid called mee-ta which a foliated structure , for those only was the hook designs , it is called mee-dan . Combine floral prints with a rhombic-look by stitching for tin-jok joining at the bottom edge of fabrics , the former design in rhombus , slightly wavy-line , stylolite , striation , crenulation , cross-marked or cross-section with such florals , materials or animals inside which shows in any colors such as red , yellow , green , white and black favor.

The striped pattern which the Laokrang in the central Thailand called the mee-khun or lai-sum design , while among the White Thai [ Uthai Thani ] , it is called the lai-klong muan design. .....Lai-thang , the general name to call the fabric which designs in the striped pattern. The name of the striped pattern varies in a local way from place to place as the designs. In Northeastern , it is called the " Lai-thang " design . As its might be designed in horizontal direction parallely. The striped pattern might be alternated with the other shapes in the small- to medium-scale designs and made a symmetrical structure. This variation is further evidence of this pattern. The name were called differently each local but they were designed patterns similarly. These words were favor in the mud-mee stories. ..... Especially the fabric which was designed in mud-mee with tin-jok at the bottom edge , the excellent of its Laokrang mud-mee silk , hand-woven fabric.

.....The majority of designing patterns in decorative art on Uthai Thani woven fabrics , can be classified according to an animal , plant and material in shapes , designs as a follows...

Lai-klong-toom [ the pendulum design in striped pattern parallelly " the Y - band pendulums shown " For examples ; Z = numbers of material bands , as its might be alternated with the other X or Y - shaped designs . For example ; X = florals , Y = animals , which are following their patterned heritage in the small- to medium-scale designs. ]
[ 02 ]. Lai-klong-muan [ the Alternate bands of X , Y and/or Z - shaped designs. For examples ; X = florals , Y = animals , and Z = materials . Some places , the local people called Lai-thang [ This pattern which the Laokrang in the central Thailand called the mee-khun or lai-sum design , while among the white Thai [ Uthai Thani , the central Thailand ] , it is called the lai-klong muan design.

.....Lai-thang , the general name to call the fabric which the former design in the striped pattern-----> a long thin line of color such as blue-and-white striped shirt . What is more , the name of the striped pattern varies in a local way from place to place as the designs in such an ancient one . As already mentioned , in the North and Northeast , it known as" Lai-thang " design . As its might be designed in horizontal-patterned quilts shown , To creat the design alternately consisting of X ,Y , Z in clusters and following in horizontal direction parallely , somewhat like Lai-khun . However , in some place the stripe-pattern design alternately consisting of the other shapes in the small- to medium-scale and made a symmetrical structure as well . This variation is further evidence of this pattern. The names were called differently each local but they were designed patterns similarly " the X - band florals , Y - band animals and Z - band materials . As its might be designed in the alternate bands of X , Y , and Z as well such as the band-patterned design alternately consisting of tooms [ pendulums ] and dows [ bight stars ] it is called shortly lai-thang . When alternated with other shapes . Its also called lai-thang . for examples ; X = Numbers of floral bands [ none? ] , Y = Numbers of animal bands , and Z = Numbers of material bands [ such as {Z-1} bright stars , {Z-2} pendulums ] . These words were favor in the mud-mee stories.
[ 03 ]. Lai-hong [ the swan design , As its might be desinged in a stage barge with a swan as a figurehead. Re-create an early-19-20th-century " Sukhothai Period " Native-Thai Swan design in fabrics . ]
[ 04 ]. Lai-kho-dam [ the black-colored hook design , as its might be designed the hook inside the blank's form of check , square , rhombic , triangular in shapes , designs. " the black Z - pieced block of hooks shown " . For example ; Z = 1 , 2 ,3 , 4 , 5 , 6 , 7 ... more ]
[ 05 ]. Lai-kho-buay [ the hook's shape design in the S-shaped length , as its might be designed in a dipper in shapeliness. The Northeastern were mainly designed the S-shaped pattern at the bottom edge of mud-mee/khid favorably. As its might be put the hook across which looks like the connecting S-shaped former design , they called the " Kho-kai " design. If its former which looks like the slender stem of a climbing plant , it is called the " Kria-kho or Kho-kria " design. By the way , every inch of this name of pattern to call its , the " Kho " design as well. Re-create an early-19th-20th-centuries " Sukhothai Peroid " Native-Thai Kho[hook] designs , which has been interpreted by scholars to symbolize the extreme power and penetrating of the King . Remark

It is called Ta-Pao-Long-Ko . While these the meandering of river where the junk passes through on its way , it also called Ta-Pao-Long-Ko . But those the former design alternately consisting of hooks [ kho ] and curved paths or meandering of rivers , it is called Tra-Kho-Long-Ko]
