As a twelve year old Star Wars fan, I desperately wanted to make a Darth Vader suit.  I scavenged relative's attics and basements for anything I could use. A tuxedo coat turned inside out...an old black felt hat...a car seat belt ....a skirt transformed into a cape by my aunt. The over-sized rubber boots still make me laugh!  Check out that chest box.  The buttons were made out of Lego's.

Funny, up until Oct 2000, those very same Lego's remained, only covered up by foil or acetate.

The accessories needed a desperate makeover...the cod piece was still missing...and I lacked a true inner cloak.  The body suit needed to be redone....Basically, my entire suit needed a complete overhaul!

O
nce I got involved with the Darth Vader Creations Forum, I was fueled with the motivation to get working on my suit again.  It's fun to see how other people find different ways to make parts for the exact same suit.   Now I frequently discuss  ideas with others of my "Vader kind" (absolutely no pun intended! Ha!) on The Vader Creators Listbot and at The Sith Training Temple. (Check out  Vader Maker Australia for more details on the mailing list).

It hurts.
