~SUNSET OVER EASTERN~
F/A Dee Lozito-Klimar sent
this interesting sunset over the EAL hangar at ATL.
It is dated June 1991
|
Do you ever think about what brought you
to Eastern? Dee did...... and she sent this yellowed
with age torn ad with her comments: "The original ad from our
Inflight Magazine recruiting F/A's around 1984 - 1985 when I was hired.
The only F/A I know is Miriam Gonzalez (short F/A with dark hair and double
breasted jacket). She was in F/A recruitment and interviewed me for
the job."
|
SHE MADE IT!!
Written especially for F/A Dee
Lozito-Klimar upon completion of flight attendant training is the following
poem by MIA F/A P. J. ECKERT.
|
Interviews, tests, posture, complexion,
Shoes, hair, make-up confection.
Patience, smile, eyes all aglow!
Congratulations, you finally know...
That they really “love” you,
And couldn’t resist
Adding you to their Flight Attendant list.
You impressed them: one and all...
You turned into “an Eastern DOLL”.
“Wings of Man” — be them!!!
Earn passes, too:
For we look forward to flying with you!!!
Let us help you celebrate;
We knew you’d do it: You’re just great.
This, for you, a bottle of “bubbles”
Just the start of your Eastern “troubles”.

To Borrow a Phrase from EARA.............
"Life
After Eastern"
Former EAL F/A's Karen Bullock-Kelly,
MIA, David Rodriquez, JFK and Dee Lozito-Klimar, MIA, JFK, ATL. This
photo was taken in June 1991 when all were working for Evergreen International
Airlines. Evergreen has a mainenance base in Marana, Arizona.

|
.......as far as the eye can
see........
Parked EAL planes. It's known as the Airplane
GraveYard.
So undignified for a once proud fleet, grounded,
waiting to be sold.
