What can I say, nothing my mind can come up with on this game will do it any justice of any kind. When I first played Silent Hill back in '98, it scared the crap out of me. This was a new kind of horror that no one had ever experienced in a game. Who would have thought that a game could beat Capcom in their own genre of horror games.
Who could have also predicted that Silent Hill would become what it is today. Three new games with another in the makes, a comic series, and a movie is a lot for something that was critisied during it's early beginning. This is a horror that no one saw coming.
I played it the day it came it out back when I was eight. I had been a vetrain of Metal Gear Solid, Konami's other big seller. I never was a fan of horror back then, but remembered the Konami logo and decided to give it a shot. It scared the crap out of me so much that I had to have my dad lock it up in his car so I could even think of sleeping...with every light in the house on. The only reason I admit this is because that horror scared me for life.
Now, I have the game Silent Hill carved in my heart next to another name. Trust me, if I didn't like that game enough to keep playing it and make a site on it, I would not be writting this.
