Chagar Mongol 61 Son of Bolar Khan, submitted to Temujin soon after being rescued by the young mongol. Later made governor of Khalkak. CHAGHATAI Mongol 109 Temujin's brother, part of the force that was victorious at the Baljuna Springs. Chaghatai was in fact the 2nd son of Temujin and campaigned against China (1213) and Khwarazm (1219). Rewarded with the governorship of Central Asia. Died in 1240. Chauvin, Henri Legionnaire 44 FFL lieutenant, killed by Thich's men at the merchant's house. CHEN-CHIN Defiant 183 Son of Kubilai, became firm friends with Marco and Vittorio. Depicted as dying of poison in the book. His death was in 1285. Chen-Yo Liberator 12 Chinese mercenary killed by pirates on the Kuta. Commitus Damned 117 Roman praetor of Orleans, met Casca during the Hunnish siege of the city. Corio Barbarian 154 Roman shipbuiler, bought by Casca from Lucius Decius in Germania and taken to Helsfjord where he designed and built Casca's longships. Corolioni, Q. Matinius Eternal mercenary 65 Commander of Casca's legion in his first battle - against the Suevii - as remembered by Casca whilst in Jerusalem prison. CORTES, HERNAN Conquistador 37 Spanish adventurer (1485-1547) who conquered the Aztecs. Recruited Casca and Juan in Havana. Although ejected from Tenochtitlan, he returned to conquer it in 1521 and a year later appointed Captain-General of New Spain. After he was relieved of this post he spent 1530-40 in Mexico before returning to Spain. Corvu, Marcius Eternal Mercenary 137 Lanista of the gladiator school outside Rome where Casca trained. Crespas, M. Decimas Eternal Mercenary 97 Patrician and Governor of copper mines in Achea where Casca worked after his enslavement. After Casca saved him from a mugging, he bought Casca and trained him as a gladiator. Crysos Eternal Mercenary 143 Slave in the gladiator school, befriended Casca and bet on his fights. Murdered by Jubala because of this friendship. CUAHTEMOC Conquistador 142 Moctezuma's kinsman, ally of Cacama. Rebelled against the Spaniards and sacrificed Juan after taking him prisoner. Cuz-Mecli God of Death 115 Young king of the Teotec when Casca was with them. He and Casca became good friends. |
