CAMILLE IS DEFLATED
This week, the girls are whisked away to Milan, Italy--the ultimate training ground for models. In Milan, the girls are put through high fashion tests, including a sleek photo shoot and an interview from hell. Even though Camille , the 25-year-old student from Mamaroneck, New York, tries to take to heart the advice the judges have given her regarding her "diva" attitude, she's unable to make enough of a transformation for the judges to keep her in the competition.

INSECURITIES SURFACE
After Sara's emotional elimination, all of the girls are feeling vulnerable. Having shed 45 pounds to be able to compete in ANTM, Yoanna , the 23-year-old babysitter from Jacksonville, Florida, says she still feels a little uncomfortable in her body. However, she isn't going to let that stand in the way of her dream of becoming a model.

Camille spends some time reflecting on what a psychic advisor said to her regarding her lack of friendships in the house. Eventually, Camille comes to the realization that in order to stay in the game, she needs to reach out and make friends, especially with Yoanna. Mercedes , the 22-year-old waitress from Valencia, California, just wants all the fighting and bickering to stop between Camille and Yoanna.

THE GO-SEE
The next day the girls receive Tyra Mail telling them that they are going to go see "Heidi, Gisele, and my house!" The girls are extremely excited, assuming they will be taken to meet Heidi Klum, Gisele Bundchen and Tyra. Instead, they are taken to IMG Models, the agency of the three aforementioned top models. The girls are thrilled to visit IMG, since whoever wins ANTM will win a modeling contract with them.

Kyle Hagler, a manager at IMG, welcomes them and explains that out of the 100 people they see on a daily basis, they only sign two a year. He gives them tips on doing "go-sees," or interviews for modeling jobs. Kyle says, "On a go-see, no one cares who you are. You have to make them care. You've gotta make them want you in a minute."

HEALING OLD WOUNDS
Back at the apartment April , the 23-year-old corporate business account manager from Miami Beach, Florida, notices a change in Yoanna and Camille's relationship. She doesn't know when it happened, but apparently both Yoanna and Camille decided to set their differences aside and become friends. They have even dubbed themselves "Ebony and Ivory."

ITALIA BOUND
Tyra Banks takes the girls to lunch in Little Italy. Through a little rap that Tyra wrote, she lets tells the girls they're heading for Milan, Italy! Screams and cheers from the girls could be heard on the street outside the restaurant. Mercedes almost thinks this news of the trip is better than sex! Tyra says Milan is all about high fashion, so they need to be edgy.

GO-SEES WITH NO SLEEP
With virtually no sleep, the girls arrive in Milan at 8:30am, 2:30am New York time. They are greeted with Tyra Mail and told to get to Tyra's Italian management company, D'Management Group. Once they get there, David Brown, president of D'Management Group, explains that each girl will be going on five go-sees in Milan. David tells them, "You will be seeing clients where you will be displaying aspects of being a top model: your appearance, your personality, your professionalism and your confidence."

Outside, the girls are all shown how they will be getting around Milan--on Vespas driven by young Italian men. The girls are giddy as each chooses their own personal man for the day.

After Yoanna's first go-see, the casting director at D-La Repubblica thinks that she is "too square." Shandi, the 21-year-old Walgreen's clerk from Kansas City, Missouri, walks for the casting director for Eventi Casting and asks how she did. The casting director said she did just OK. Camille says she "just puts on her personality" in the go-see. The casting director at Armando Testa thinks that Camille has a "strong attitude inside her." Mercedes says she needs to be more edgy, and the casting director agrees that she might be too commercial. Go-sees for April are "business mode."

GO-SEE FROM HELL
The last stop for all the girls is Caractere, where they meet with Liliana Rolando, the casting director. She does not speak any English and speaks through a very obnoxious translator. She cuts most of the girls off when they answer and gets in fights in Italian with her translator. Camille is up first and is questioned on why she is wearing makeup to a go-see. Yoanna gets asked bluntly why she would wear earrings that distract from her face. Shandi is yelled at to hurry up and change when Liliana asks her to try on some of her clothes. Camille struts her stuff, and Liliana quickly wants to know why she walks like she does. Camille comes back that it is her "signature walk and this is what is going to make [her] famous." All of the girls are a little frazzled by the bluntness of their meeting at Caractere, but Camille is sure she will be getting a call back from them.

The girls are brought back to D'Management where Tyra is waiting to give them the results of the go-sees. Shandi is told that she is "more fashion than commercial, but way too shy and not self-confident." April is told that she is strong in appearance but weak in all other areas, while Yoanna has a gorgeous face but needs to work on her body. Mercedes learns she is weak in appearance but very strong in personality and confidence. Camille's look might be a little classic, she is told, but her confidence is the strongest overall.

The casting directors were told to rate the each girl based on the go-sees. The girl with the highest score was Camille. She is going to go get her portrait done, and she gets to choose one girl to go with her. She chooses Yoanna. Everyone is very excited to see Camille and Yoanna getting along so well. Before they leave D'Management, Yoanna asks what exactly they mean by work on her body. It is probably toning, she is told. This strikes at the core of all Yoanna's insecurities. After a long day, those harsh words really get to her and she feels she wants to leave the competition. Yoanna chalks up her melancholy to being exhausted and not eating or sleeping.

FEELING LIKE JULIET
The girls are taken to their new Milan apartment. It is much smaller than their New York loft. They are immediately greeted by Tyra Mail that says their first photo shoot will take place in Verona, the home of Romeo and Juliet. Newfound friends Ebony and Ivory end up rooming together. In the confessional, Camille lets everyone know that regarding her friendship with Yoanna, she is just "killing her with kindness."

The next morning, they are taken to Arena di Verona, a spectacular ancient coliseum, and are greeted by art director Jay Manuel. Massimo Costoli will shoot their photos this week for Solstice, a high-end retailer of luxury brand sunglasses in America. Jay lets them know that the look of this photo shoot is high fashion.

Nole Marin, their stylist, starts to pick out clothes for each model. Everything to him is "fabulous." Jay has asked all the girls to give him very "deconstructed poses" because they're over-thinking everything. Yoanna feels she is living the "teen dream" in front of the camera wearing haute couture. Nole feels that Yoanna moved very well in her shoot.

Camille, with big hair, says she feels quite royal. Camille is told to relax over and over again--Jay feels that she just needs to let go. Shandi, with hair so big it needs its own dressing room, says she isn't exactly sure what she is doing until Jay tells her just not to think about it. This finally clicks with Shandi, and her poses blow Jay and Nole away. They don't know how she came from Walgreen's to become the girl they see in front of the camera. April is dressed in fire orange and red, and Jay says she is very consistent. Mercedes says she is working on not being so bubbly and trying to be more high fashion. Jay keeps looking at Mercedes and sees a "toothpaste girl."

SABOTAGE
After the photo shoot, Camille and Yoanna go through the streets of Milan to go get their portraits done. Yoanna even goes on to say that hanging out with Camille was "more fun than I thought it would be."

Later that night, the girls meet up with Tyra and Jay Manuel for dinner. They talk about the sights, their apartment, and of course, the boys in Italy. Yoanna asks to be excused from the table. When she does, Jay asks if she just went to the bathroom. Camille makes a face. "Why do you have that face, Camille?" Jay asks. Camille responds, "Ask [Yoanna] when she comes back." When asked if Yoanna always disappears, Camille makes a "yeah" sound. Mercedes quickly says, "No, she doesn't." Tyra lets the girls know that eating disorders are very serious, and encourages them to keep an eye on Yoanna.

Mercedes privately tells us she feels it's important that what the girls tell Tyra should be nothing but the truth. She feels that Camille insinuated that Yoanna has an eating disorder, which is not true, Mercedes says.

Yoanna comes back to the table and it is immediately revealed Yoanna just went outside to smoke. After Tyra leaves, Mercedes tells Yoanna what happened with Camille. She is furious that Camille would plant that seed of doubt in Tyra's mind. Yoanna says that her body is a temple and that she would never have an eating disorder. Camille tries to defend herself, but all the girls call her out. Yoanna is upset that she now has to fix this with Tyra. She finds Tyra and explains to her that she doesn't have an eating disorder. With that, Ebony and Ivory are through.

JUDGMENT
The girls are brought in to meet the judges. This week, they are Janice Dickinson, Eric Nicholson, Nigel Barker and a very special judge. Sitting before them is the very obnoxious translator from the go-see at Caractere. Tyra lets them know that he is, in fact, Michael Giannini, creative marketing director of D'Management Group. It is revealed that he doesn't have an accent and that the go-see at Caractere was really a test for the judges. They were purposely hard on the girls to see how they would react. The judges are then shown videos of the go-see at Caractere.

Shandi is up first and her video is played. When Liliana asks Shandi why she should take her with so little experience, Shandi says she should hire her "if she were to see something in me and my photographs." Janice applauds her and says that she answered from her heart and she loves that. Next she is shown her picture and Janice calls it "perfection personified." The photographer gave notes on each girl, and his note about Shandi was that she wasn't only his favorite girl, but her photographs were some of the best he has taken all year. All Shandi can say to that is "whoa."

Mercedes is up next. In her video from the test go-see, she is asked if she always walks the same way. She answers that she does. Tyra points out that she should have said, "I will walk however you want me to walk." When her picture is shown, Eric says that her body is doing this "high fashion awkward pose, but your face is just sort of normal." The photographer said he had the greatest connection with Mercedes, but her look was a little commercial.

When Camille is asked why she walks the way she does and answers that it's what is going to make her famous, Janice's jaw drops. Camille, at the go-see, goes on to point out the fact that she was chosen out of 6,000 girls who tried out for AMERICA'S NEXT TOP MODEL. None of the judges can believe what they are hearing. "Camille! What were you thinking?" exclaims Janice. Nigel brings up the point that they have talked to her over and over again about her attitude. When shown her picture, Janice tells her that she knows she can do better. The photographer says that Camille was his least favorite girl, and she needs to connect with her heart and soul.

Yoanna gets high marks for not getting aggressive or backing down on her go-see. Yoanna's picture is called "fantastic" by Janice. April gets called on being too clinical in her go-see. Tyra says that there is some romanticism in fashion. Eric thinks that April looks like a corpse in her photo, but Nigel likes the intensity.

MOMENT OF TRUTH
The judges start to deliberate in private. Janice thinks Shandi is a "supermodel in the making" and thinks that Yoanna has emerged from "quirk nerd to elegant model." Nigel thinks that Yoanna hides her body well in the photograph and the whole package works for him. Eric thinks that April is still thinking it more than feeling it. Nigel thinks that Camille just needs to lose the attitude. Eric feels that Mercedes' commercialism takes the high fashion clothing to a knock-off level.

The girls are brought back in to find out who is going home. Tyra has four pictures for five girls. One by one the girls are called forward to receive their picture until only Mercedes and Camille remain.

Camille is told she is undeniably beautiful and that she has been told over and over again that the judges want her in this competition. But for some reason, Camille still feels the need to prove she is good enough to be here. Mercedes is told she is here because of her personality and her "fire and drive." But, at the same time, she is very commercial. The judges wonder if the fashion industry will believe it. Mercedes starts to get teary eyed, and Tyra tells her that the "world will believe it" and hands her the photo.

Camille hugs the remaining girls goodbye and heads back to pack up. Without any tears, she tells us she feels sad and disappointed, but she is
