Problem:

"I've been wanting to drive for ages, I've been able to pass the written test yet when I get to go on the road test I freeze! I've been in a few minor car accidents but what should I do? I try to get practice time with my folks but they are too busy to do that with me. What should I do?"
Signed,
Aching to drive

Advice:

Dear Aching to drive,
Well the way I've been trying to teach my daughter is I let one of her licensed friends take her out to the country on a dirt road and practice. However if you don't live in a small town where their are dirt roads if you have any licensed friends that your parents will let you go out driving with you could always practice with them and one of the best times to do that is at night when their isn't as many cars on the road maybe then you could get a better feel for the road and when the driving tester is in the car just take a deep breath and try to think of them as a friend in the car rather than someone that can pass or fail you. Hope that was helpful.. Thanks for writing!
