Halo 2, Bungie's all-consuming Xbox masterpiece, has clocked up over five million sales worldwide according to the latest word from Seattle giant Microsoft. The second instalment of the Master Chief's adventures has also attracted some 900,000 users on Live, Microsoft's online gaming service, making it the most successful Live game ever and quite possibly the most successful online console title in the world. With the last known figures for total Live users around the million mark (though we suspect Halo 2's launch might have bumped that total up a bit), that means nine out every ten Live players are enjoying Halo 2 and apparently also spending about an hour and a half per gaming session. In a further boost for Bill's big black box, Fable, Peter Molyneux and Big Blue Box's groundbreaking console RPG, has also weighed in with a meaty million sales worldwide, in the two months since it went on sale.
