Photo taken at Scarborough Town Centre. New Flyer Industries D40-88 New Flyer D40-89 A more rare view now then in the past, 6516 is picking up passengers at Kennedy Stn while running the Bloor-Danforth Subway Shuttle during the great blackout of 2003. New Flyer Industries D40-90 Witnessed twice by myself, a D40-90 makes a rare appearance on rte 43 Kennedy. Its reason for its appearance on rte 43 is due to a breakdown of a bus on route which was replaced by a Malvern bus. Notice the friendly driver who gave a wave. Prior to retiring the D40-90s the TTC is making the attempt to getting the most out of the vehicles before they leave, 6611 was assigned run 1 on rte 131 on a Sunday. Usually run by fishbowls, now D40-90s are common. Note this is the D40-90 which has had its number 3 and 4 doors retrofitted with doors from the TTC's stock of D40-87 to D40-90 doors, which bus the rear doors came off of is unknown yet. Laying over at Scarborough Town Centre while on rte 131 Nugget. This series due to retire shortly is usually being neglected from maintenance, usually seen with paint missing or unpainted panels. 6633 is one of these buses which has seen the tail lamp housing retrofitted with a new housing. New Flyer Industries D40LF Sometimes accessible buses can venture out onto other routes such as rte 43 Kennedy which is not an accessible route. 7348 is seen here at Kennedy Stn on rte 43 Kennedy. NovaBUS Corporation T80206 RTS A rear view of NovaBUS RTS 7213 at Finch Stn, notice that 7213 has gained additional fleet number at the rear towards the upper centre. This is so that maintenance personnel can identify these buses easily when their hoods are up.
Orion Bus Industries 03.501 (Articulateds) 6360-6419,6530-6559 When the conditions on major roads are bad, the Orion 03.501s are reallocated to lighter routes such as rte 132 Milner which seldom sees articulated buses.
Orion Bus Industries 05.501 CNG 9370-9394 Series Orion Bus Industries 05.501 6640-6745 Series A photohgraph of 6668 at Scarborough Town Centre station during a mid-fall evening, 6668 has a large TTC logo on the front if you didn't notice. Orion Bus Industries 05.501 7000-7134 Series 7053 at Scarborough Town Centre station, note the Orion VIIs are replacing these buses at the Eglinton Garage and rte 21 is now designated as a low-floor route, the remaining Orion Vs at Eglinton will be transferred to Malvern once there are enough Orion VIIs to warrant the transfer. Orion Bus Industries 05.501 CNG 9400-9449 Series A view of 9402 which is the first of the 1996 Orion 05.501 CNGs to be converted to diesel, this unit was picked as a prototype for conversion, this scene is located at Bathurst/Steeles.
Orion Bus Industries 06.501 CNG 9200-9249 Series Seen at the intersection of Bathurst and Steeles, 9205 was a literally a "cool" bus on this July afternoon when this photo was taken. The air-condition was running and the bus was on rte 7 Bathurst. Orion Bus Industries 07.501 7400-7619 Series The first of the 220 Orion Bus Industries (VII) 07.501 order arrived and the pilot bus (7400) is seen at Scarborough Town Centre, at the time 7400 was driving supervisors from unknown divisions to lunch at Scarborough Ctr. Notice the new destination signs which are brighter than the old ones. (7400m) After we had arrived at Main St Stn 7400 was taken out of service and was used as a training bus for three drivers. A recent photo of 7402 in service on rte 100 Flemingdon Park, this photo was taken on St Denis Drive near Deauville Lane in the Flemingdon Park neighbourhood. A evening photo of 7404 shows just how bright the new LED's really are in the dark, 7404 was operating a busy rte 21 Brimley run when this photo was taken. I was lucky to catch 7409 during a Saturday afternoon, it made an unexpected appearance at Kennedy Stn. It was running the rte 43B Kennedy route via Progress.
