The Green Party of Pennsylvania, a member of the Association of State Green Parties, is part of the movement to end the domination of our lives, and the abuse of our resources by special interests. Our local government should be accessible, accountable, and responsive to each and every resident. Friends and neighbors in Susquehanna County are working together to bring new voices to the political dialog. Join with us in creating a sustainable future for ourselves and our children.
THINKING GLOBALLY, ACTING LOCALLY
The Pennsylvania Green Party is a confederation of local chapters. Our beliefs in decentralization and grass-roots democracy have encouraged us to avoid the top-down organizational style so common in modern society. We believe the transformation of society depends on mass participation in our democracy.

Jay Sweeney, Candidate for election 111th District
I stand for State Representative in the 111th District first of all
because I believe there should be at least two names on the ballot in
a democratic society.
I stand to speak up for the residents of the Commonwealth of
Pennsylvania and see they get their just rewards including a living
wage, health care and a quality of life worthy of a first class
nation including clean air, water, food and energy. To that end, I
support Health care for all Pennsylvanians.
I stand to speak out for the interests of the working poor, the
elderly and those who do not have the ability to speak out themselves.
I support continued regulation of the electric industry. It is not
the time to end regulation when wind and solar technologies are just
beginning to become competitive.
I oppose the gas drilling process known as fracturing because it is a
threat to the water supply of Pennsylvania.
I oppose the expansion of nuclear power in the Commonwealth. The
billions of dollars spent on 1 nuclear facility would have an
immediate impact on electricity production if applied to wind and solar.
I support an extraction fee on all minerals removed from the
Commonwealth. These funds can be used to build more solar and wind
facilities and hire more DEP inspectors.
I support a constitutional convention to reform the General Assembly.
Let us return Power to the People.
