Please check here for the latest updates. I'll post the dates with the pages that have changed to make it easier to find the new things. Only updates in the current year will be posted or the page gets too long. Besides.....if this is your first trip here,it will all be new anyway!!
... January 30 2007. Here I am at the beginning of year 2007. I have not made any additions for some time; however, this year I mean to remedy that. Tasks for this year include......
(A) .....a new section to showcase my newest hobby of working with polymer clay, wire and metal, as well as fibers to create my own jewelry. Please click on the link below this introduction section.
(B) .... finish the stories I've begun.
(C) .... At this point I am not sure what will be happening with the Garden Journals. I have not been very attentive to my gardens and in fact have given up two with a possible two more going this year. I don't have the time now that I am putting my efforts into the jewelry.
Along the paths, you'll find helpful hints that I've used in my gardens both inside and out. Some of the things that worked and things that didn't.
I would like to try a journal of what's happening as well. My garden is located beside a lake in South Central Ontario, Canada. We are about two hours north-east of Toronto. I am officially in the 5b area on the Plant Hardiness Zone maps. Because we live beside the lake, the weather is tempered somewhat in the fall, and we don't get frost quite as soon as some people. On the other hand, the wind blows across the ice in the winter and I cannot grow roses, as they just dry right up. Other than a good layer of leaves in the fall, I do not baby any of the plants, so what doesn't make it on its own, doesn't stay long.
I have installed some little music boxes on the pages near the top. Please don't hesitate to push the "stop" button, if you prefer not to listen to them. The sources for my midis can be found on the "Links and Kudos" page.
You can find some easy recipes here to make your own herb teas.
