Hi- my name is Sunil. Spelled backwards, that makes Linus. Interesting,
huh? =) Anyway, though biology and chemistry are favorites of mine, I also
like history a great deal. I hope to be involved in debate/political clubs
on campus. No particular tastes in music or food, just so long as it hurt my
senses (or sensibilities). Looking forward to meeting you all at UChicago!>

In our school yearbook, seniors each get some space to write. i find that 7 months after writing it, the passage is still reflective of part of me:
I plan to stay young by questioning and exploring everything. Lincoln was right when he said that every generation needs a revolution- be it spiritual or tie-dye. I'm still looking for mine. Sometimes I feel that I have found my passion in conversations with the most interesting of friends who have shaped me through their laughter, or when I've played tag with God in the rain, or when I dance. So I guess the reason why I love burnt orange and the warrior princess is because I want to feel that incredible rush that makes you scream and play football or badminton like you mean it- and blue won't cut it. Until I find something worth my intensity, I plan to learn more about strangers and daydream of cowboys. I know that I am lucky to have the parents and the crazy, beautiful friends I have to support me throughout my endeavors.

Because I had no reflexes as a newborn, i was thought to be
retarded (and still am). For a mexican i'm abnormally tall (6'5"). Everyone
always thinks i need a haricut. I played tennis and high-q during high school.
I love the Smashing Pumpkins (that's an understatement). I love the Simpsons.
And as for my nicknames, everyone calls me different crap because i'm tall and
have a lot of hair. I'm also a proud member of CB (if you must know what that
means, e-mail me and i'll tell you).

Well, so far I think I'm pretty pleased with all the future Chicagites I've met. My aspiration is to travel and get paid for it. I did national circuit duhbate in High School, and I'm in love with everything music (except country). Billy Corgan defines my musical world. My summer involves gaming for money at the Stomping Grounds [www.stomped.com/locations.html] (I werk there) and watching lots of anime (Neon Genesis Evangelion is so good). I'm a rampant night owl, staying up until 4 and sleeping til 2. I'm also addicted to red bull. IM me if you know of any energy drink addict support groups. Anyway, I'm looking forward to meeting all of you!

To my people! Economics and international affairs are something of a passion for me. I am very much looking forward to spending time with other passionate and engaged people. As Arlo Guthrie, the folk singer, once said "There are two kinds of people in the world, people who give a damn and people who don't. And sometimes you find you have more in common with the people whom you thought you would hate." An excellent way to go through life, especially because my economics profoundly angers many people, but if it got through your shields than it means you care and I want to be your friend! If you are not outraged then you are not paying attention! On a less serious note I love all music, particularly classical and hard rock. I adore Rage Against the Machine. I sing (alto), play viola (not well) and I am a horseback rider of the dressage/eventing persuasion. I have a
gloriously nerdish love of science fiction, and I admit to even loving Star
Trek. I am a nerd in the true Chicago sense of intellectual, cerebral people
running around having a good time and making a difference! Ahhh but I am also
ohhh so cool and not afraid to say it loud! :-)

I really can't wait to get to Chicago. There's nothing like hanging out with your friends and having fun at home, but I really can't wait to be on my own in college. I love playing sports and plan to take advantage of the intramural program at U.C. (soccer, basketball, maybe tennis). I really like black and white photography and I've just recently converted a section of my basement into my own darkroom. My most respected people in history: Winston Churchill (leadership), Bob Marley (innovation), Will Ferrel (humor), and Gandhi (courage). I look forward to meeting everyone, you all seem like very interesting people.

I am looking forward to going to Chicago in the fall! I keep pretty busy between softball (which I will be playing next year for U of C), listening to music, watching movies, and hanging out with hfriends. I love sports...watching and playing almost every kind. I am in to all kinds of music from Guster to Alicia Keys to the Dixie Chicks to Mowtown to DMB. My favorties movies are the Boiler Room, Love & Basketball, Austin Powers 1 and 2, Jerry Maguire, and any Angelina Jolie movie. I also love photography. I am pretty outgoing, so please feel free to email me or IM me anytime you want. I would love to talk to anyone! Can't wait to see all of you in the fall. Go Maroons!

this may suggest and I'm sorry about having no picture, but oh well...we

Hi. I don't have a clue how I got in to Chicago, but I suppose I'll go...if I have to. Anyhoo, I would write about how I've read all these amazing books
this summer, but I'm such a horrible procrastinator that I've only gotten
through, like, three chapters of a Faulkner book. So, I guess I spend my days
playing Final Fantasy X (I don't really play video games much, just that one),
listening to music (I'm probably the only person in the world who doesn't like
the Beatles; I heart the Velvet Underground, Dylan, Talking Heads, Rolling
Stones, the Dismemberment Plan, Enon, the Flaming Lips, Sigur Ros...I should
stop), and waiting for bed time. My dog is the greatest dog in the world, just
so you know.

Hi everyone! This summer has been way too long and I can't wait to see all of you guys this September! Well although I am a Korean I've studied both in the US (NJ) and Singapore for a while and glad that Chicago also has a diverse student body. As you can see, I am still not sure what my real interests are but probably some subject in social science. I like playing tennis, playing my violin, reading, swimming, shopping, listening to music, etc etc :) Well, right now, I'm both excited and anxious about going to Chicago but I'm sure I'm gonna love my life in Chicago! Hope to see everyone soon!!
