Installation Ceremony 2005-06


On 24th July, 2005, the new team of office bearers was installed by LRD Ym. Prof. Cherian Thomas. The function was held at the residence of Ym. George Varghese (Thampi). District Governor Ym. Gopakumar and Zonal Secretary Ym. TS Varghese felicitated.Photos.

Onam Sadya at Sanil's Residence

The Onam 2005 was celebrated at the residence of Sanil and Renuka on 25th Sep. The lings presented cultural programmes including dance and songs. Onam sadya was the highlight of the evening.Photos.

Independence Day Eve Meeting

The first meeting after the assumption of office by the new team lead by Ym.Thomas Job was held at the residence of the President on 14 Aug 2005. In his presidential address, Ym. Job gave his Independence Day message and reminded all members of the increasing relevance of the motto of the movement - "To acknowledge the duty that accompanies every right!". Secretary Ym. Thampi presented a very impressive account of the club activities. Ym. Dr. Abraham Joshua, in his club news, outlined the Independence Day programme planned at St.Joseph's Orphanage, Moonnam moodu and urged all members to join. Ylg. Lisa Thomas delivered a special Independence Day speech which was greeted with loud and long applause. The charming Ylg. Meryl conducted the proceedings with clinical perfection. Cultural programmes followed. Before breaking for dinner Ymt. Dr. Geetha gave a demonstration of how to observe reverence during National Anthem. Photos.


Independence Day Celebrated

Sharing the joy of the Independence Day of India, members distributed sweets to the inmates of the St. Joseph's Orphanage, Moonnam moodu. President Ym. Thomas Job, Secretary Ym. George Varghese (Thampi), Treasurer Ym. Prasad Varghese, Ym. Philip Jacob, Ym. Dr. Joshua, Ym. Benson, Ymt. Geetha, Ymt. Mamey, Ymt. Yamuna, Ymt. Lekha and Ylgs Nishel and Meryl participated.


Cloths gifted to Mental Hospital inmates

The Y's Menettes Club of Yattiyoorkavu gifted garments to the lady inmates of the Trivandrum Government Mental Hospital at Oolampara. The President, Ymt. Ceena Thomas and the Secretary, Ymt. Mamey Varghese visited the hospital alongwith club member Ymt. Lekha Satheesh. The members spent a few hours with the lady inmates at the hospital. Photos will be uploaded soon.
