The Chinese Orchestra

The Chinese Orchestra has survived for centuries without the presence of bass instruments. However, due to Western influence, Cellos and Double Basses were added to povide the bass. The Chinese Orchestra is divided into 4 sections - Bowed-Strings, Plucked-Strings, Wind and Percussion.
