Hot Creamy Brown Rice Cereal ___ |
Slowly stir in ground rice. Continue stirring for a minute to avoid lumps. Bring back to a boil. Then add soymilk, reduce heat and let simmer for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. |
Makes about 3 cups (2-3 servings) |

1/2 cup uncooked brown rice 1-1/2 cups water 1/2 teaspoon salt 2/3 cup soymilk 2 tablepoons water 1 tablespoon maple syrup (or 2 teaspoons sugar) |

In a coffee grinder or grain mill, grind 1/2 cup brown rice to a course ground. Do not over grind rice into a powder like consistency. |

Heat water to a rolling boil, add salt and maple syrup (or sugar). |

Turn off heat and let sit for 1-2 minutes. Then stir well and serve. Adjust thickness and sweetness at the table by adding more soymilk and sweetener. Serve with juice and toast, or a Soymilk Biscuit. |
