Cassiopeia
Queen Cassiopeia is wife of Cephesus the Ethiopian King.  She and her daughter Andromeda was very beautiful.  Cassiopeia was so proud of her beauty that she could not resist the temptation to boast about her and her daughter's beauty.  Cassiopeia boasted that she and her daughter was more beatiful than the Nereids/Sea Nymphs.  The Nereids heard of this and quickly asked Poseidon, the God of the Sea, to punish Cassiopeia.  For Cassiopeia's punishment, she was changed into stars in the Northern sky.  To shame her, Cassiopeia was to sit in her throne upside down for six months of the year.  This showed Cassiopeia to think twice before she compares herself to the immortal ones.  As for the other six months of the year, the justice of the council allowed Cassiopeia to sit upright as an regal queen.
