AAA
(All Around Arizona)
Although we Wander Women like to stay either very close to home - or venture bloody far from it, we occasionally get up an hour or so earlier than "Stupid Early" so we can say we've tried some other neat stuff too.
The last few months have seen us out at Queen Creek Canyon many times; once to check out the Phoenix Bouldering Contest, and the rest to see if our guidebook was any good.  Since we couldn't find anything in the guidebook that we could actually climb, we figured the thing to be bunk.   ;)
We've recently botched an early morning ascent of Picacho Peak, both the 'early morning' part, as well as the ascent itself... mostly cuz we botched the 'early morning' part.  :(
When forced indoors, we hang out at Phoenix Rock Gym - ...we hang out there even when we're not forced indoors...   :)
Pinnacle Peak has become another favorite of ours - mostly because when Tonto National Forest is closed, we have no other place to go...   :-P
We were recently deemed "worthy" to be invited on our first ever canyoneering expedition to Salome Jug.  We'd like to extend our deepest thanks to guides David Gunn and Linda Locke for a fabulous experience!
If only the water hadn't been so green...   :O
Queen Creek Pinnacle Peak
A Pinnacle Peak Park official, when asked about information regarding climbing there, responded;   "Well..... you need equipment to do that.... a rope... and... stuff..."
