Þingvellir, Gullfoss & Geysir
The natural amphitheatre at Þingvellir is where the Alþing (Icelandic parliament) met in AD 930 to establish an Icelandic government. It was a democracy.

Majestic Gullfoss (Golden Falls)
Right: Gullfoss ("Golden Falls") is Iceland's second largest waterfall. It is located near both Þingvellir and Geysir.
Below: Great Geysir's more active twin, Strokkur, erupting. There are several pools and geysirs to be found at Geysir.
Strokkur erupts every few minutes.
